"Dad, I'll be fine," Joo-Eun says over her shoulder as she sets her last load of bags on the bed she's claimed in her dorm room, a stack of boxes containing assembled models already stacked beside the foot of the bed. She's wearing a baggy purple sweatshirt and jeans and being followed by her father, a rather tall man in a suit and tie, who is carrying still more boxes of plastic models, who looks a bit worried.
"Are you sure, Joo-Eun? You know your mother isn't happy with you sticking with this school. She was really hoping you'd be closer to home this year," the former Akodo asks, setting the boxes he's carrying by the others.
"Yeah. I'm sure, Dad. I survived last year, didn't I? And you know that I'd probably end up going insane if I went to Mom's old school," Joo-Eun replies, stretching a bit after all the carrying she's done so far. She also leaves unsaid the reason she's avoiding going to her mother's school, mostly because they don't need to be said.
"Mm. Alright. Well...I tried, which will appease your mother," her father replies, smiling faintly, before reaching under his suit jacket to pull out another box, "And this is from me. A nice room warming gift."
The Utaku accepts the box, which she looks at for a moment. It's a HG kit from one of the newest series, rather than the MG or RG she tended to prefer, but with her dad, she knew he didn't know the differences between the grades and probably thought that High Grade meant it was of the highest quality. She smiles a little, then gives the man a hug.
"Thanks, Dad. I'll see you at break, aright? I don't want you to miss your flight home," the young Unicorn says.
"Of course, Joo-Eun. Take care." And with that, he leaves, leaving the Utaku alone in the room for now, where she now awaits the arrival of her roommate by starting to put away the masses of clothes and models in a proper fashion. She'll save the kit for later.
