The greenhouse area consists of three buildings; Greenhouse 1, Greenhouse 2 and the open gardens.
The greenhouses are enormous glass buildings that are used mostly by the staff, as well as for gardening and some ikebana classes. The open gardens are plots that students who take part in the gardening classes are lended to take care of during their year.
Greenhouse 1
The first greenhouse is used mostly for commestible plants. These include tomatoes, daikons, carrots, herbs and much more. They are used by the cafeteria, which means students get freshly grown vegetables with almost all their meals.
Greenhouse 1 also hosts most of the firstyear gardening classes.
Greenhouse 2
In this building, you would find all the various flowers used in ikebana. The selection is incredibly varied, as many students like yo use flowers to communicate with their fellow samurai.
Be warned however that messing with those flowers without permission can easily land you in detention! Be sure to check with a teacher which plants can be safely plucked.
Umeko-sensei's office is also in that building, along with a small area reserved for excellent students that want to row their own things. (Approval required for use of personnal plots)
