When a child is born to those of high status in Rokugan, they are born with high expectations. When they are born with a rare gift, those expectations only grow. Such is the case for Kakita Tsuki, the first daughter of the Thunders, Kakita Meta and Kakita ne Kistune Hanashiro, and the second child of four. Whether Tsuki desires these expectations or not, or whether they came mostly from internal or external forces, it is clear the young woman has large shoes to fill.
Her gift of the kami revealed itself at a young age, and her relationship with the elements was far closer than the average Shugenja. A fact not overlooked by her mother, whom quickly used her position and pull to see Tsuki train with the Isawa. All the while she continued to receive lessons from her parents, though unlike her siblings whom had to deal with her father, Tsuki has taken a likening to her dads lessons and truths. So much so that she has utilized them in her own approach to life, and while no mirror of her parent’s personalities, she has opted to pluck the best from both.
Where one might close themselves off to an unusual concept, Tsuki is willing to stay open minded. Where one might choose to act with anger, Tsuki offers a smile. To be approachable and realistic, to remain factual and kind. Lover of Ikebana, Friend of the elements, and ally to those who need it. This is the woman who is named Kakita Tsuki.

Getting to know Daidoji Satoru is a bit of a challenge, as he is often quiet and more keen on observation rather than divulging any details about himself. His roots are hardly a secret. His father, Daidoji Daichi, is the CEO of a major Crane security firm that has accumulated much wealth. In turn, the boy has just about anything he could ever need and then some. He is one of the few students that drives and owns his own car, and though he can take classes and leave campus to stay the night at his home, his family has insisted on his staying at the school dorms instead. Whatever attention this happens to draw, it looks like Satoru isn’t looking to deal with it head on.
He is very neat and orderly, a young man of routine. More often than not, he can be found studying or practicing his sword work on his free time, and that is if one happens to see him around at all. He keeps his passions to himself and deals with duty as he was disciplined, but on rare occasions one might find him deviating from the path. When the mood strikes him, he tends to look for activity, which may lead to trouble depending on who or what is available. His mischievous side takes some time to coax out, but once it has been awakened, he is more of a man of action than he is of planning. Trouble isn’t his go-to method of keeping entertained when he is on his own, as he would simply pick up a video game when lacking things to do. But with the right group of friends, he could be persuaded to do just about anything as long as he can come out with his honor and pride intact.
His father hopes to groom him for the family business, but it is clear as day that Satoru prefers physical activity over politics and marketing. As for what he seeks to become someday, as most teenagers, he cannot give a straightforward answer. For now, he seems to be struggling to find himself by pouring himself into his classes and forgetting about the future—until he no longer can.

Doji Reiha Age: 16 First Year Gender: Female Height: 1m62 Weight: 47 kg Hair: Black Eyes: Blue Notable Traits: Often slovenly dressed, in a hoodie or similarly baggy clothing.  Reiha is the youngest daughter of Doji Tsuburu, an up and coming venture capital fund manager and Doji Masako, famous dancer and singer (and a known kitsune yokai). The socially challenged girl is a disappointment to her parents and deemed unfit as a courtier or bushi she was eventually sent to Phoenix lands to study as an artisan after the Kakita Academy refused her. There might be some merit in this as she has yet to officially present any work, though she can be seen drawing all the time. The young Doji is an avid manga and anime fan, to the point of obsession, and dresses quite slovenly for a Crane. It's usually hoodies and baggy clothes which hide as much of her body as possible and it is very unlikely she has ever used make-up. Combined with her introverted nature she must be the worst fox-wife ever, but that has not stopped her parents and the girl is now betrothed to a scion of House Menjari of the Duhab from Medinaat al-Salaam, an arrangement which promises her father's venture capital fund will become one of the largest in Rokugan after the promised infusion of petrol-koku. Reiha's enrollment in RHS is her mother's last attempt to have her daughter whipped into shape and making something out of her life. The young Doji in the meanwhile muddles on, attempting to please her family and figure out her place in the world... |

The Third Dragon Thunder. The Mourning Dragon. Student of Niten and Kitsuki's Method. Patron of Dragon Theater and Manga. Mother of seven children. Teacher at the high school she went to as a teenager. Mirumoto Aiko has come a long way from the simple country girl she was when she first attended RHS, almost a quarter century ago. One of the Thunders to survive the battle with Daigotsu incarnate during the Third Day of Thunder, Aiko took advantage of her newfound fame and status to build up a robust traveling theater system in the Dragon lands and sponsored several aspiring manga-ka among her clan, aiming to bring more culture and life to the rather scattered Dragon, hoping to make them more of a part of the fabric of Rokugani society. About ten years ago, when a teaching position opened up at RHS with the retirement of Seppun Kyosuta, Aiko took advantage of the opening to teach the next generation of Rokugani's best and brightest in the arts of investigation and swordplay. This year also marks the first year one of her children, Mirumoto Sakura, is also attending the school while she taught there. She has made it known among the faculty that showing her daugher anything remotely resembling special treatment will result in her getting rather cross.

Tight uniforms for cycling and loose T shirts and sweat suits for the rest of the sports. Only her closest friends know that she is a proud (not really) owner of a couple of pairs of jeans and an actual kimono that her mother made her buy recently. Her cell phone and her laptop are quite old, as well as anything electronic she owns. Her two bikes are her treasures, both of very good quality, but almost overused, a bmx with quite a few scratches on the frame, and a more shiny one, or less scratched someone could say, for casual cycling.  Asurito comes from a long line of heralds. She was born and raised in Kyuden Miya and as part of her training she has travelled extensively. For the past two years she has been living in the capital. The girl has spent her time in high school so far on the move. Literally. She is always seen cycling or running from place to place, playing various sports, swimming... Asurito refuses to stay idle! Even when she is inside a classroom, her mind travels to the unknown place she has not been to yet or the sport she has not tried. She has made quite a few friends in RHS, but they are mostly sport buddies and she has never been seen being on a date or anything even resembling one. This is her last year in high school and she has started being both curious and a bit nervous as to what is to come next. The only thought that calms her mind is that her dad promised that if her grades go up this year, she can take the next year off to travel the Empire before going to college. Her bike and the roads of Rokugan call for her!

When he decides to dress in a more modern way, it is often in a white button down and brown trousers or in a simple brown hoodie bearing the Sparrow mon over his breast. While his clothes are clearly used, he keeps good care of them. He often wears brown, round-framed spectacles to ease reading. His long hair is worn loose over the shoulders with little adornment. His hands are calloused from years of farm work since childhood and he is unabashedly left-handed, including in his swordsmanship with his daisho being worn on his right when worn. which chafes some traditionalists He frequently may be found meditating, tending the shrine of Benten, practicing iaijutsu, or telling stories to those who will listen and who break him out of his shell, though given the length and detail of a Sparrow story, some may regret this. He is known as something of a matchmaker and will often deliver notes or perform other tasks to aid in the success of love.  |

The daughter of Mirumoto Aiko, the Third Dragon Thunder, Sakura is the middle of seven children and the first to attend RHS during her mother's tenure as a teacher at the school. Ever since she was young, Sakura has always been her mother's favorite, though she followed a different path than her mother. When she came of age and took the name Sakura at her gempukku, she was given a set of blades that belonged to the Third Scorpion Thunder and had been entrusted to Aiko by Shosuro Sakura after the Scorpion's death at the hands of the Tainted Shogun, Matsu Nagato, during the final battle against the Avatar of Jigoku. Residing in the shadow of two Thunders as a result, this young woman has great expectations placed upon her. Whether or not she lives up to them remains to be seen.

Build: Built Hair: Black, and relatively short Eyes: Grey  From birth, Hida Takeshi was raised in the image of his father, Kisada, Champion of the Crab Clan. Set at an early age that only the best was acceptable, Takeshi holds himself to a higher standard than most and generally excels at everything he tries. Though an excellent student, he spent much of his time growing up in the shadow of his Elder Brother and heir to the Championship, Yorimichi. This constant refusal of acknowledgement from his Father has led him to be a very competitive person and will do anything to get noticed for his greatness. Though a hyper-competitive person, he's genuinely nice to those who are able to get past his intimidating size and initial demeanor. He generally hits it off with people when they meet Yu(Courage), His Akita Inu he received from his Uncle Renyu. Takeshi has a true appreciation for animals and even has a weekend job at the local shelter to be aournd them more as well as give him the extra income he requires to remain indepentent of his fathers coffers and spend time helping others find the same happiness and contentment he does around animals. ![]() When not at the shelter, He's likely training, pushing his hida-built body to new and impressive heights. Gyushi Kogeki Age: 16 Second Year Gender: Male Height: 6' 1 Weight: 204 lbs Hair: Red short and messy. Eyes: Brown  Gyushi Kogeki was a former student of the Kakita Artisan academy who was apparently skilled at food preparation and presentation, his family owning a small restaurant in Spider lands. He was kicked out for fighting however and was able to get a scholarship with the Spider to come here assuming he also work at a local Moto Barbeque Joint to pay off the difference for his room and board. Despite his temper and his love of fist-fights, he is said to be a good chef with a love of powerful flavors and food grilled by the flame. Kogeki is a tall boy with a definite tough look. He has a nose and eyebrow piercing with silver rings and a scar running through his thick eyebrow from one of his earlier tussles. His hair is bright red and kept in short messy spikes with some sort of product. He usually wears leather whenever he can get away with it and keeps a small simple looking brown box with him at all times. He has a continual smell about him of smoke and spices. |

  Born to a brash Matsu mother and a timid Moto father, Akiko was discovered at a young age to be a protege when it came to handling animals. Even the most feral of beasts seemed to let the child wander up to them, growing calm in her presence. It was this ability that led her former Moto father to refer to his darling daughter as a Kirin-ji, an old term used for a gifted individual. Such a talent quickly set the quiet child on the path to becoming a beastmaster, one that she wasn't particularly minded to walk. Akiko was far more a fan of animals than people, a quality about her that only seemed to grow the more she did. Being a beastmaster allowed her ample time with animals and away from the people she found so frustrating, dense and loud. It led to many afternoons of being snuggled up with warcats, devouring as many various different books about animals and veterinarian medicine as she could find, a practice that made itself quite useful in the years to come. It was through her knowledge of animal care and her ability to interact with fearsome animals that others couldn't that led the girl to find a warcat partner as special as she seemed to be. One of the warcats was having a particularly rough birthing and became unmanageable even by seasoned beastmasters. In a last ditch effort to avoid losing the mother and litter, Akiko was brought in to calm the struggling mother and see if she could help the breached kittens along with guidance from her peers on the sidelines and her own knowledge. After an intense night, five kittens were born to an exhausted mother though one was strangely different from its kin. It was black as midnight. As a thank you for saving the feline family, the little Matsu was gifted the peculiar kitten and the two soon became inseparable companions. So in love with her fledgling warcat was she that the girl decided to name him after the member of the Lion Clan she respected most: Akodo Arasou. Those afternoons hadn't been spent just reading books full of practical knowledge, but also history, tales of past deeds and even fantastical stories inspired by the third day of thunder and even more ancient events. It was through these stories that Akiko had learned about Arasou and Koma, coming to to adore the deceased Lion Thunder and his spirit companion in a way other children might come to adore famous idols. It was with her own little Arasou now by her side that she decided to blaze a trial that might lead her to become immortalized in the tales of the books she loved so much. Unfortunately her desires to do so started off a bit rocky, for as much as she wanted to attend the prodigious school of Rokugan High, her parents simply couldn't afford the price of admission. It was with determination that Akiko threw herself into her studies, becoming a straight A student and acing every exam she needed in order to be deemed suitable to transfer into to the famous highschool on her second year. Between those efforts, her working a part time job to save money, and her parents pinching every penny they could, the first step of Akiko's dreams were realized. She'd be going to RHS for her second, and hopefully, third year of schooling.
