Utaku Genji Age: 36 Height: 5'10" Weight: 180 lbs Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Build: Muscular Bio: Having reached gempukku during the most troubling times for the Unicorn Clan in recent history -- their war with the Phoenix, the Third Day of Thunder, and even their own internal struggle between the Shinjo and Moto families, UTAKU GENJI is a soul who represents a new way of thinking within not only the Unicorn Clan but the Empire of Rokugan as a whole. During his adult life Genji has seen conflict within his own clan over the traditions of who should lead: the Shinjo as the descendants of the Kami herself, or the Moto -- a family descended of gaijin into whom the Lady of the Unicorn reincarnated. Likewise, two Great Clans, neither of which was founded by the Kami, saw their status rise then wane. The eldest, the Mantis Clan, betrayed the Empire by taking sides with the usurper Daigotsu Kanpeki and has since been cast into the waves, its surviving members reforming the minor clans from which they descended. The second, however was founded on betraying the Empire from within and attempted a coup against the Son of Heaven to place the son of the Dark Lord upon the throne. Ultimately, the Spider was spared when one of its own became recognized by the Daughter of Shinsei as one of the legendary Thunders, Ichiro Mitsu: the man whose hand struck down Fu Leng, sparing Rokugan 1000 years of Darkness. Rather than die at the sword or be cast into the waves, the Spider was made a minor clan. At an early age Genji was discovered to have a natural affinity for animals, as well as a curious yet sometimes opinionated nature. For years he served his clan loyally, teaching other Unicorn how to bond with their faithful steeds as well as the wardogs the Children of the Wind deploy and caring for the animals as one of the famed Utaku Stable Masters. Seven years ago his service to the Clan was rewarded when he was transferred to Rokugan High School, where he tends to the prestigious school's stables as well as teaches the Hunting and Animal Training courses while serving as the Faculty Advisor for the Animal Lovers Club.  |

Akodo Ichiro Age: 17 Third Year Gender: Male Height: 6' 0" Weight: 183 lbs Hair: Blonde Eyes: icy blue Build: Muscular and cut Ichiro hails from a slightly wealthy branch of the Akodo family. He has actually been at RHS for the past two years but he has always been a very reserved boy keeping to himself and being unremarkable in his studies. However over the summer Ichiro threw himself into his training building muscle and becoming faster, stronger than before. However it wasn't just his body that improved, due to finding his passion in training Ichiro's confidence has swelled immensely. Ichiro has come back to RHS for his senior year and is determined to make waves this year. He is a brash and loud boy but kind and fiercely loyal to his friends. Ichiro loves to work out at the gym and practice his Katana forms or spar juijutsu. Other than that he is looking to make a bunch of friends to hang out with and maybe even get into a bit of trouble  . Ichiro finds pride in his heritage and pays respect to his ancestors but doesn't find his identity in it. Ichiro will befriend anyone from any clan and cares not for clan politics so far as people are good and honorable on their own. Though should Ichiro see someone act in a disrespectful or wholly dishonorable way he will not hesitate to call them out and tell them exactly how he feels. Ichiro's tongue gets him into the most trouble as he struggles to control his thoughts. Overall Ichiro is looking to have a great senior year at RHS! Attachments:

Isawa Kokoro & Isawa Kikiri age: 14 hair: long, light brown/ blonde Tails: 3 Ears: Fox Eyes: Brownish red Height: 1.7 m (5'7") Pet: Fenne  Kiki and Koko are an inseparable pair. If it weren't for Kiki demeanor of not being able to talk or listen the two girls would be unrecognizable one from the other. These are the daughters of a mad scientist and a Pekkle who has a magic show. Their mother is famed in RHS for being the Math captain back in the day and trying to revive the Battle Robot club with no much avail. These two are unlike their mother the prefer nature. They did learn a trick or two from their parents and those around them. Kiki is like a little girl that needs much attention as she is more like a puppy in training. Koko is a bit more sophisticated. |

Notable Traits: You could almost say...DANGEROUSLY beautiful. She either dresses up as cutely as possible or in something of a modern take on traditional Rokugani wear. She likes to dye her hair in pastel colors and will switch it up depending on the season or her general mood.
Having flunked her final year at RHS once before, Bayushi Chiyo is one of the older students haunting the halls. For a Scorpion, her wealth is middling—not broke exactly, and personally her allowances are withheld until her grades start looking better. Her mother, Bayushi Itsuko, is a well-known face to those who watch the afternoon local news, though her father is far less famous as an Asahina businessman. No glamour or glitz about her immediate family when her own reputation has started to define her well enough.
She is quite a contrary young courtier herself who sinks her teeth into rumors and spreads them like a plague, carelessly tarnishing the reputations of others but seeming to derive little enjoyment from it. She at least seems to get a kick out of telling tall tales, the taller, the better. She’s a pathological liar, from her age to her hobbies, keeping secrets or spilling them among lies until it’s impossible to tell what’s what.
So what is Chiyo really into? She can be caught reading every now and then, though there is no telling whether that may be part of a ruse or not. She has a patience for craft even if she is just decent at it. She’s always updating her style, though its hard to make out whether she’s doing it out of boredom or to tempt a certain someone. If she becomes obsessed with someone though, oh boy. They better watch out. That’s pretty much the only hard truth about her that has some consistency.

Akodo Uuen-Xiang is, from a distance, clearly rich and completely unashamed of it in the way that only a spoiled only-child can be. Always with the newest of everything and quite often casually mentioning her father's yashiki out West, she is from a distance the exact image of a spoiled, preppy have-it-all with a penchant for waving riches in other people's faces. She is also clearly none too fussed about personal space, almost annoyingly chipper and one of the most accident-prone people to ever grace the school, frequently getting into improbable, clumsy accidents that never quite seems possible.
Getting to know her, however, reveals that while she is indeed most of the things she can be assumed to be from afar, she is not exactly as aloof and arrogant about her wealth as one would expect. In fact, all she really can be called is a huge sports geek, albeit one who seems clearly unsuited for most competitive sports for the amount of things she continually drops, trips over or otherwise bumbles into. Maybe she can also be called a rotten tease for the many, many times she is extremely close to anyone she talks to, but it is frankly never quite clear if that is intentional or not.
At formal occasions or in class, the dark, very well-built Akodo will be in impeccably proper clothing for the occasion, albeit maybe with a slight penchant for expensive jewelry. It doesn't take long outside of class for her to prove to be not that fussy about being proper all the time, as she can oftentimes be seen sprinting from class to somewhere to practice some form of sports, most usually swimming or football (The running, kicking kind), and it has happened that she has returned from lunch rather drenched through her proper clothes because of a lengthier than wise training session.
Otherwise, she seems to be attempting to become the school's announcer for sports events and to just hang out with anyone else sports interested, being way too close to them and apparently oblivious to the effect of it. Uuen-Xiang is in some ways a very typical Akodo, but also in many obvious ways quite a bit different.

First Year Age 14 Gender: Male Height: 5' 8" Weight: 153 lbs Hair: Long, Black Eyes: One Grey and One Red  Born to one of the Unicorn families living in Water Hammer City. Takezou’s family felt he brought bad fortunes upon them. He was sent to be taught with the Tsi that had acquired holding in the city in the last few years. Takezou ended up excelling in learning the ways of Tsi swordsmithing. Excelling so much in fact he was sent to participate in the Topaz Championship. Though what some think it was nothing more than dumb luck Shinjo Takezou was declared the winner and new Topaz Champion and in doing so secured his attendance at Rokugan High. Wanting to do nothing but further hone his craft to create the perfect sword Takezou must now deal with heightened expectations from his family. Takezou is easy going and enjoys spending time with animals though they don’t seem to enjoy him. He has also recently become interested in in the new Build Fighters systems that seems to be gaining in popularity. |

Tamori Yoshi is an unassuming young man from the Dragon Clan with a shy, introverted nature, having been born into a shugenja family and yet possessing no ability to speak to the kami. Too pacifistic for the Mirumoto bushi school and too daunted to consider the ascent to the High House of Light, he found himself in the Kitsuki school essentially by default. Still, his training in investigation did little to set him on a path toward his own greater purpose. His hope is now that enrolling in Rokugan High School will finally provide him with the means and opportunities to truly flourish.

Ryudo Akane! Age: 40 Gender: female Marital Status: single Height: 5'7" Build: firm & bouncy Hair: long & coppery orange Eyes: Aqua (green and blue mixed)  Matsu Akane graduated from high school as Daigotsu Akane, barely, thanks to the oath she swore to Daigotsu Kunshu to protect and keep her, and what that carried over to Spider Champion Daigotsu Kanpeki. This did not last long; With Kanpeki's betrayal of the Emperor and the theft of Kunshu from her possessions, Akane found herself working against the very Clan she'd just sworn to join. Managing to regain possession of Kunshu, Akane was still returning from this little mission when the Third Day of Thunder occurred. Afterwards, Akane found things, or at least very few of them, had turned out as she had hoped; She never had ended up finding Utaku Tomiko, her former girlfriend. And her more recent one, Mirumoto Aiko, had been involved in the Day of Thunder and become emotionally scarred before having an arranged marriage. With Kunshu in hibernation and Kuneho in a loving relationship, Akane found herself alone in a villianized Clan, with few friends. Some within the Spider even considered her a traitor for taking the sword and not bringing it to Kanpeki. Still, Akane was not one to let herself give up; She still had friends, even if they weren't close by. And she also managed to get a sports scholarship to a prestigious university near Otosan Uchi. Her scholarship in music theory would eventually lead to a job as a mostly unknown singer/songwriter, but her major passion was still staying active, particilarly biking and swimming. When she was twenty-one she even participated in the Empire Summer Games, and won one gold in the the team swimming relay and two individual silvers. She trained for the next one and managed four more medals, two bronze two gold, when she was twenty-five. This success lead to fame, sponsorship deals, guest appearances on television shows, and a winning run on “Dancing With the Samurai”. Still, Akane had few close friends, and by the time she was thirty she missed a more fun and relaxing life. Returning to school she got a teaching degree, starting as a primary school substitute when she was thirty four before moving on to having her own first grade class. It still wasn't enough though, and bigger things beckoned; Akane yearned to relive old memories and applied to RHS as a teacher. Sure, she was hardly the most erudite teacher, and her college grades had been questionable at best, but it seemed the chance to hire a seven time Imperial medalist to run sports clubs was too good to pass up. And she worked for cheap. Akane is just moving back into the city, getting reaquainted with it and the campus, excited for the next step in her life… |

The eldest daughter of a Shiotome and an Akodo, Joo-Eun is something of an oddity. Favoring the bisento and fighting on foot, Joo-Eun was drawn to the Mounted Infantry school of her family. Showing a flair for strategy and tactics that make her father quite proud of his daughter, her horsemanship skills are somewhat lacking. Drawn to RHS to escape the mandatory horsemanship classes that are common at every Unicorn high school, Joo-Eun begins her second year at the school. She is known to have a great love of games of all sorts, especially Build Fighter, as well having her nose in books on war and strategy. She is also noted for keeping her room obscenely clean and orderly.

Background:
Though he's not an imposing man, Rhyodotsu is a strange sight on campus. It could be that he wears traditional clothing at almost all times, or the mon on his chest - Otomo on the left, Tsi on the right - or even that he's usually carrying something and has heavily calloused hands despite technically being a part of the Imperial family. About 5 years ago, there were a lot of rumors spreading about him, about how a member of a lesser clan won the eye of a member of the Imperial Otomo family, but he's stayed humble and somewhat reclusive despite this. He never attended RHS, but teaches Swordsmithing and Wood Shop, as well as administering to the needs of a certain club.
