Suzaku entered the Shrine to Benten, clad in all brown burlap and with a lovely cream fan depicting a black scorpion resting under a tree. He set the fan at the feet of the shrine and knelt in contemplation, a sad sigh escaping his lips before he picked up the fan, grabbed a broom and simple wooden prayer beads as he swept and began reciting prayers to Benten-no-kami in his pleasant voice. He attempted to step with grace as he swept so as to not offend a kami of beauty and as he swept was caught up in his prayer, his mind thinking of love and beauty and of the arts that convey them.

It was not long after Suzaku had begun sweeping and tending to the shrine that Mirumoto Ryuha soon appeared, dressed in fairly plain workout clothing - a simple T-shirt and a pair of gym pants. She had a wooden practice sword lopped through her gym bag, obviously on her way to the dojo before long.
For the moment, she paid the Sparrow mind only with a nod, before kneeling before the shrine to the Fortune in supplication and prayer.

Suzaku bowed deeply and cheerfully, but continued sweeping and kept silent to avoid interrupting Ryuha's prayer to the Fortune he served above all else.
After much of the sweeping was done, Suzaku began carefully cleaning and organizing the accoutrements of the temple, his eyes looking somewhat cheerful yet monkish behind his round framed glasses.

Finished with her prayer, Ryuha stood and offered the young Sparrow a bow.
"Good afternoon, Suzume-sama. You seem blessed by Hotei-no-kami today."

Suzaku returns the bow. "I have not always been, but in the Shrine of Benten-no-kami, it's like when I'm telling a happy story or engaging in more lighthearted practice of the arts, I am at once full of peace and joy and find no less than absolute delight in the service of the Kami" smiling impishly Suzaku adds "This one is Suzume Suzaku, of the Suzume Hills."

As the two chat, Sakura makes her way past the temple. Pausing as she sees multiple people present not obviously involved in prayers, she decided to take a closer look. Wearing a pink tanktop and jeans, it is not readily apparent which clan she hails from, though it is possible the fellow Dragon does recognize her on sight. She quietly watches by the entrance, tilting her head, trying to determine if this is a club meeting or something. She knew that there were students who did maintain the temples and also knew her mother had fond memories of spending time helping out, especially in this particular shrine.

Ryuha does in fact recognize Sakura, but the girl probably wanted less attention for it than Ryuha did for her bad grades. Rather, she simply bows in greeting - the girl could approach if she wished. "Mirumoto Ryuha. Perhaps I should visit Hotei-no-kami's shrine next, so that I too may bask in joy under the gaze of Benten as well," she replies, a bit of jest in the smile that plays at her lips. "Well met, Suzume-sama."

"Well met indeed. I hope to have plenty of time to spend, here especially, and am considering joining a temple related club for this reason. While I am not gifted with the ability to speak with the kami, no one should neglect matters spiritual." Suzaku seems thoughtful a moment "Especially if one wants to not only maintains the blessings of the heavens, but also be prepared for one's highest duties as a samurai."

Sakura would have continued to quietly watch, but can't help but speak up when she hears the Suzume mention highest duties, "What do you consider the highest duties of a samurai, mina-sama?" She sounds curious and interested in the Sparrow's thoughts on the matter.

"I will defer to Suzume-sama first," Ryuha replies, allowing the Sparrow to answer first, curious as well.
