First day, first class of her entire career. Rey had never thought herself seeking a position in the academic field yet here she is. The 19 year old girl wonder of modern medicine unlocks the classroom door and checks around for a moment. It is still early for her little students. The young surgeon takes a seat and waits.
On the board she has written with careful calligraphy the following:

Hinata hurried to get to class early, wanting to be punctual and, she hoped, give a good first impression to the teacher. Surely whoever was teaching biology at RHS had to be someone with years of experience, and thus someone worthy of impressing. After all, RHS hired only the best, right? No better person to learn from than someone who had been in the field for a while. She idly formed a picture of the teacher in her head. She had grown up in a family of scientists, so she imagined it must be someone much like her mother or father. An older person, logical and lacking in social graces, but not unkind. That thought comforted her, it would be nice to have a teacher who was the kind of person she was familiar with.
She was thus very confused when she saw the young woman sitting behind the desk. Who was this girl? Some sort of teacher's assistant? From her appearance, she must have only been a few years older than Hinta at the most. Too old to be a third year, that much was certain. Yes, she must have been an assistant then. It did not surprise Hinata that someone teaching the sciences at RHS would have an assistant.
Hinata bowed to her.
"Good afternoon. This one is Kuni Hinata. May I ask when the teacher is to arrive?"

Rey raises and bows to the young student. The first to arrive! And earlier than she should! Is she a brilliant student, eager to dive into all the new things the Mirumoto is going to teach? Or a teacher's wannabe pet. She hates this category of students.
Yet, the Dragon dismisses the thought for now. "Good afternoon, Kuni chan." She greets the girl. "I am Dr Rey of the Mirumoto and I have arrived!"

Hinata tried to keep the shock from showing on her face, but failed miserably. How could someone this young be the teacher? She was barely older than Hinata herself! She couldn't have been in the field for more than a few years!
...and yet she was skilled enough to be hired by RHS. Right. Regardless of her age, she must have been very talented indeed. As such, she was worthy of respect, no matter how startling her appearance may be.
"Ah...I am sorry, Mirumoto-sensei. Please forgive me."

"Nothing to forgive, Kuni chan." The Dragon says with a broad smile. "I once had a patient trying to flee away from the operating room because she didn't believe that I were the lead surgeon. But..." She hesitates for a moment. "I thought that the glasses had fixed the problem once and for all. Anyway..." Another smile. "In which year are you, Kuni chan? Have you taken biology classes before?" She's a Kuni. Of course she would have. She would probably be her star in this class! But Rey wants to hear the girl's response.

Unfortunately, Hinata had never taken a biology class. And this teacher sounded so expectant, too. She hated to disappoint her, but it was best not to lie.
"I am a second year. As for taking biology classes, I have not, actually. I mostly focused on magical studies and etiquette classes, but I figure if I am going to be a researcher I should probably get started on the sciences now."

A pair of fox girls enter the classroom. Koko was getting a bit tired of the conversation and gave a sigh. Then She came up with an idea and brightly smiled at her sister.
Both jumped up and down not noticing that their tails were fanning the sensei and some of her papers off the desk. Kiki then noticed and shrunk. Koko slowly turned and gave a very low apologetic bow.

Mochihime enters the classroom, checks out the gathered students and gives a half-hearted wave. That Kuni and the fox-girls again. These are supposed to be brainy kids this year? Pffff. As if. Oh, and someone she hasn't seen before. Too young to be a first year, probably a transfer student. The young Otomo takes the nearest available seat and takes out her phone to browse.
Biology is not among her favorite subjects, bio-mecha are way beyond the current SOTA, but it's apleasant enough diversion. And where the hell is the sensei?

"Then this is a fine chance, Kuni chan!" She opens her mouth and is about to add something when the indoor wind blows her notes away. "Oh my!" She rushes to her desk. Everything is suddenly out of order.
The Mirumoto takes a look towards the two foxy girls. Her eyes search for a mon or appropriate colors that would be an indication of their family. "Isawa chan! Something tells me that this was done on purpose." She tries hard to sound and look harsh and serious with no much success. "Please, sit down before... before..." Rey shrugs and decides to give up with this approach. It doesn't suit her. So she smiles kindly. "Just sit down, sweeties. I will have them back in order in less than a minute!"
Indeed, it doesn't take long for her to gather her notes and place them back on her desk. In the meanwhile, Mochihime arrives with her always super serious look. Rey recognises her instantly, but this doesn't seem to be the case for the Otomo. The glasses work after all! That cute guy at the optic centre was totally right! The Dragon approaches her student's desk. "I would recognise that wave everywhere! It's been the same since the day a shortish and pouty girl sneaked into the library of Kyuden Isawa out of boredom. I got into so much trouble for allowing you to borrow those books. Otomo Mochihime chan, we meet again!" Perhaps she should get her glasses out. "Wait a sec." She does so. "We meet again!" She repeats. The girl should be able to recognise her now, it hasn't been so long.

The two girls bowed quietly and scurried to their seats. They continued signing to each other about what fox plush to get.
