Mochihime in fact already looks up in suspicion as she heard the Dragon speak.
It's that woman!! The one everyone always says is soooo smart. Such nonsense! Ok, the Mirumoto might almost be as smart as her, but honestly, let's be realistic here! It's not like she couldn't have finished school a great deal sooner, but that's just moronic. At least in school you have time for your research and projects and you don't have to teach a bunch of dullards like the students arrayed around her!
She winces at the 'chan'. And 'shortish and pouty'. Dammit girl! You're only a couple years older than me and I'm an Otomo! She quickly suppresses the pout that might have been apparent.
"Ah, Mirumoto-sensei." A pause. "What an unexpected pleasure. We're so lucky to have you."
Well, the rest of the students are. Doubt she has anything to teach me! Mental note: brush up on my advanced biology.
Mochihime's smile is almost a challenge. Yeah, just like in Kyuden Isawa.

A Scorpion entered the classroom and bowed to the Dragon first and the ladies afterwards. He did not know what felt most weird. The fact that one of the few people that he actually like was his teacher or that he actually have spoken with all girls in the classroom recently.
He sat down and took out his notepad.

"Yes! That face just there!" The Dragon notices the small pout on the Otomo's face. "Priceless! Oh, the memories!" And that exact moment the Scorpion enters. "And Mr Serious graced us with his presence. Smile, Bayushi kun!"
The Mirumoto checks her watch. They still have 3 whole minutes before the class officially begins. She can open up and close a man's stomach twice in three minutes. There is still time to socialise with her students. She pauses a moment at that thought. Is she even supposed to do that?
Anyway... We'll see how that goes...
The Dragon walks over to the desk where the Isawa duo is sitting and leans above the two of them. There is no reason for everyone to hear what she has to say. "I'm sorry for yelling at you two earlier. It is not constructive and I should focus more on providing a healthy educational environment for everyone in my class."
Next she heads to wherever Hinata has chosen to sit. "Everything alright, Kuni chan? Ready to to get our hands dirty? In the next lesson we will be dissecting a frog. Gloves will be provided, of course." She informs the girl. Kuni usually get super excited with such stuff according to her experience.
After talking to a bunch of npc, she ends up in front of Yoruga's desk. "Too busy to say hello, Bayushi kun?" She asks the boy that she knows since he was 5 years old.

"Sam extends to the rest present." He added.

Hinata had sat at the front of the class. Her initial nervousness at having such a young teacher evaporated when the mention of a dissection came up.
"I am fine, Mirumoto-sensei. I am glad to hear we will be getting our hands dirty on the first day. No better way to learn something than to dive in the deep end first, neh?"

Mochihime just rolls her eyes. Dissecting frogs. How junior high...
"Shouldn't we first learn what to look for in the frog's innards? Mainly for the benefit of the others, of course. Or are we just going to hack at them for the heck of it?"

Hinata frowned. The Otomo girl had a point, though she seemed rather haughty about it. Were all the Otomo like this, she wondered?
"Better to learn what to look for once the frog is cut open, yes? That way you can learn with your eyes and ears. It also saves time, besides."

He was unsure what it mattered if they learned what's inside a frog before or after dissecting him and furthermore he doubted that anyone present lacked that knowledge.
I should have gone for ikebana...
He rested his head on his hand and just waited for them to come to an agreement.

Entering at a time that is very close to being late comes a young Lion in an immaculately kept and groomed, brand new school uniform, bowing to the teacher, wiping some slightly damp hair out of her forehead. In fact, the torso and back of her shirt also look rather damp, showing a tiny amount of dark cloth through it. The skirt might be a bit damp too, actually, but it's harder to tell given its darker colour.
"Hello, Mirumoto-sensei," she says, completely unembarrassed as she enters to take a seat as far towards the front as she can.
