"No one should worry about such things. You are the students and are here to learn. Those details are my burden to bear." The Mirumoto looks back at her watch. One and a half minute. She has some more time before bringing the frogs in. She doesn't want to allow time to her students to grow to like them.
"Alright, everyone! Gear up! Gloves and glasses. Hands away from the scalpels for now."
At that point, the Lion enters. "Welcome, Akodo chan! Please, take your seat. We are about to begin a journey into knowledge and skill!"
The Dragon walks to her desk, but not before she leans a bit over Yoruga to whisper to him. "Mirumoto sensei, silly face. See you later! Try not to be too awesome and scary my students away from my class."
Rey presses some buttons on her pc and a video is projected on the video wall across them. Then she walks outside and soon she returns with a box. "Come and get your froggies, people! I know that some of you have done this before, but practice is important. Next week we will try to open them up and close again."

He was about to answer something to that, but then he saw the Imperial and decided to shut up. With a frown he got up and headed to the desk and took a frog.
He didn't like killing frogs.

Koko and Kiki chuckled at what the sensei said to Yoruga. Then they saw the frog, their eyes grew wide and their faces pale. Both shook their head in unison and stood up. They wrote on the board Please don't kill the froggies.

Hinata picked up one of the frogs and looked at the twins, frowning.
"Please do not vandalize the teacher's board, Isawa-sans."
She looked back at the frog in her hands. She admitted she did feel a little bad about it, it wasn't a creature that could be called evil like an oni or a bakemono. Still, one had to learn somehow, and it was better to learn using a lowly frog rather than a person. They could use anatomical models, the Kuni produced ones of very high quality, but a model could only get so accurate. Besides, she doubted there were many high quality anatomical models of frogs.
"Besides, it is for a good cause. Any good surgeon has started their career on frogs, and gone on to save lives."

Biology; Another necessary class. At least she was more excited for this one than economics.
Walking in as quietly as she could (which was pretty quiet for certain), Momiko found her seat. Noticing Yoruga-sama, she thought about getting up to say something to him when she noticed that Kuni girl nearby him. ...maybe now was not the best time.
Looking at the assignment, she saw a frog sitting in a dish in front of her. So, a basic dissection then? Well, she'd have to make sure to keep herself clean here then.

Whatevs. Wildly hacking at frogs it was!
Still she remains in her seat for now. First will come the part with the heated arguments (ah, of course, the kitsune kick it off!), the refusals and likely tears. Though they might be postponed to when they were just about to cut. With a smirk she picks up her phone and browses a little, keeping half an eye on the class.

He sat back on his desk. He didn't see the nonsense on the board until the Crab talked about it. That was also when he saw Momiko. He nodded at her and smiled.

The Mirumoto is on her desk handling a frog to everyone who approaches. Since this is the very first lesson, she asks each student the same thing. "Do you prefer your frog alive or liberated into the kharmic circle?" If anyone answers the latter, then Rey injects the animal with a drug that offers a quick and painless death.
"Hear me out for a moment everyone! I get it that there might be reservations, but as Kuni chan said it is for educational reasons. Please, instead of worrying about things like who was this frog in its past life? What kharmic debt did it incur to end up as a biology class implement?
Did it, at one point in time, wonder the same about a frog on its desk? Focus on the now. We are samurai and this is just a frog. A tool that will assist us in learning some basic things about anatomy, in-cessions and why not? If we have time, we might get to stitches today!" Rey wasn't much older than her students when she came up with the idea about the Mirumoto double stitches. Perhaps there is an even greater talent hidden among these samurai and there is only one way to find out!
"Otomo chan! Bayushi kun! You two will be my assistants for today. Please take your frogs and come up here!" Two separate desks are prepared with cameras that will allow the other students to watch Mochihime's and Yoruga's work on the video wall.
"Do we have any questions before we begin?" She asks everyone and makes a little wave towards the Asahina who entered late.

He got his stuff and moved to the desk assigned to him. He looked at Mochihime while she got to hers.
Did she really mean it?
