The Mirumoto is wandering around the class checking everyone's progress after giving a nod full of praise to Yoruga. "Very nice work, Kuni chan!" She praises Hinata. "Of course a Kuni's instincts would work immediately when she touched a scalpel. Keep on with the good work and I can see a great future for you in this field." Her steps lead her to the Crane's desk. She takes a look at her work that has just began. "You have very steady hands, Asahina chan. Keep on with the good work." As she stands above the girl, she can't help but think that she looks quite familiar. Wait! An Asahina with interest in biology = Asahina Mei. Smaller size and high school student = her daughter, maybe? "Momiko chan? Is that you? Of course it is you!" She exclaims as softly as she can so as not to disturb the rest of the class. Next she approaches Yoshi's desk. "Someone is being grumpy, Kaiu kun." She teases the boy. "Let's get you a frog, no?" She walks to her desk when she hears the noise outside and Mochihime's words. Realisation hits her harder than a brick falling on her head. "Awww... Isawa chan... Why would she do something like that?" Her eyes go to the Imperial. "Let's go, Otomo chan! It's hunting season!" "Scalpels down, everyone! There is a frog emergency we need to handle before these froggies conquer the whole complex. To war, my students! To war!" She proclaims and waves to them to get outside. /OOC: Per/hunting to trace the frogs TN 10. Raw ref to catch them TN 10. The frogs are 10 (in total). Two of them are resisting arrest and will need more effort (+5 to both TN). You can make multiple efforts. Rey just wants her frogs back! Anyone can try to provide refuge to the frogs after arrest. In this case: agi/sleight of hand and agi/stealth contested by Rey's (or anyone else's who wants to be the teacher's pet) per/investigation. I'm just trying to make this goofy  |

The two Isawa girls were trying their best to make the frogs go faster failing in th or attempts. Koko heard the teacher and just froze. She took her sister's hand and pulled her as she tried to hide themselves behind the lockers. Stealth Hide from sensei: 23 |

Unperturbed, Uuen-Xiang remains seated, looking at the frog, before closing her eyes, thinking thoroughly. This all seemed terribly untowards.
"Sensei, if I may," she says as the Dragon starts to exit the classroom. "As an adherent of Bushido I must admit that while I understand the need to learn from this and that the frog, as any creature, must fulfill a circle, I cannot in good conscience work with blood or guts. I surmise I could learn just as well by watching someone else's work. I do not mean offense nor unsubordinance, but this part of biology..."
She puts down the scalpel. "This seems a dishonorable pursuit, even towards a frog."

The Akodo's reply takes her by surprise. Calling half of her studies dishonorable? A huge part of her career? The educational programme of this fine school? Rey cannot help it but see the whole structure of her dreams about combining an academic career with that of an actual medical practitioner falling down right in front of her feet.
The young woman looks around her and her gaze stops on the Otomo. She would like to think that she walked there in graceful slow steps, but the thrush is that she runs towards Mochihime and leans to whisper to the girl. "Could you possibly tell Akodo chan that this is not right? Like not right at all? And that she kind of hurt my feelings? And offended me? And that I will probably give her a really bad grade if she goes down that road? Like a B+ bad?" She pauses for a second. "And Isawa chan... Can you handle them for me?" The Mirumoto looks the girl straight into the eyes. She knows what she wants and she is getting it. "You are smarter than I will ever be." She lies. The things I do for love.... She really loves her job.

Uuen-Xiang looks at the teacher. "I... Maybe I should explain further after class?" she offers, before stepping out of her chair to look at the frog-infested halfway. "I can take care of that in the meantime?"

Koko was about to respond to the sensei but Kiki shush her reminding her about the vow. The younger fox girl told her sister to wait for her there.
Koko went back to Rey with a big frown on her face. She signed the teacher that she was opposed to the killing of animals. The other scientist had already made models of virtual frogs and that other innocent animals shouldn't suffer the same fate as their ancestors.
Probably most of it was lost...

Yoruga shrugs as he gets up. Really Rei-chan?The words of the Akodo gave him a pause. He looked at the brainless Akodo and chuckled. "Honor is overrated, Akodo-san. Pray tell do other members of the clan that gave us Matsu Gohei the Butcher share your sentiments?" He laughed and walked to the hall to catch the frogs another softhearted girl had set free. [Perception/Hunting: 12 , Reflexes: 7 ] Finding a frog was one thing. Catching them was another... He frowned and got up. Hopefully none saw that. |

Hinata sighed. She had come here to learn, and now she was to chase frogs? Very well, whatever must be done, but she wanted to slap those twins. Sure, they were just adhering to Compassion. Still, they could have just walked out, or protested like the Akodo; they did not need to bring the rest of the frogs with them! And now the frogs they had already cut open were left on the table, suffering for nothing, which defeated the entire purpose of their protest. She had always been terrible at looking for things, but somehow she managed to find a frog quite easily. Snapping her hand out, she snatched the frog from the floor and looked it in the eye. Mochihime's smile as Mirumoto-sensei states what she has always known was in her own mind... magnanimous. In truth 'triumphant' and 'gleeful' might be a more apt description.
She rises and raises an imperious eyebrow as she addresses the squeamish Akodo and the other students who were about to go hunt frogs.
These buke were clearly lost without a kuge from the Imperial families to direct them...
"Now, would everyone get back into their seats, please! Mirumoto-sensei still has a class to teach! Bayushi-san, apologize for insulting the Lion Clans before we have duels disrupt the class! Isawa-sans, Akodo-san, as you are a conscientious objectors you can go catch the frogs!
We shall allow you to an opportunity to speak for them and their eventual fate after class!
Now, is that all clear and can we return to a harmonious lesson?"

The woman has no idea what the Isawa is trying to tell her, but she finally recognises the two girls as Isawa Kitsune's daughters. "Sweetie, I don't understand unfortunately. You can write it down, perhaps?"
While the Mirumoto is dealing with yet another issue, Mochihime speaks. Rey's eyes fall on the Imperial and stay there. That's not what she asked for. She sacrificed her honor and her professional integrity for this? The woman shrugs. This is her class and if she wants it to remain so she has to take initiative.
"NO!" She exclaims louder than she anticipated.
"I mean... no."
"Akodo chan! I know that you mean well and you wish to make your ancestors proud with your words, but you signed up for biology. I would encourage you to apologise to me and your fellow classmates for your highly insulting speech and then, either, head to administration to change this class for something lighter or remain silent and accept the grade that your skills by the end of the semester will deserve."
"Isawa chans! I will call your mother if you don't start behaving." She looks at the two girls and takes her cellphone out of the pocket of her gown. "I have her number right here and I will put it in speed dial from now on."
"Now for the rest of you! Be good classmates and help Isawa chans get my frogs back. I want everyone back in 5 minutes. This class is not over yet."
"Otomo chan, please, handle Yoruga kun, at least." She says in the end. The Dragon is exhausted by the effort, but she won't allow some minor misfortunes destroy the educational experience of her students.
When they all leave, she passes by every desk and injects the rest of the frogs with a lethal quantity of sedative. A small prayer follows every death. Noboru was right....
