Or the occasional drunk sensei. Like you have a moment to breathe, and as you take in air, what you've learned comes with it. Or something."
"I figured more people would be here, though. Relaxing. Unwinding. Trying to forget anything they don't want to think about." He shrugs. "Maybe students here handle stress better than I do."

As if in response to the Daidoji's statement, in walkes Shiba Bai. He had taken his time bathing himself, and making sure he was in the right side, and that he didn't need to get permission or anything to use the hot springs. Better to ask permission than forgiveness, he believed. He had next to no musculature to speak of, really. In some places you could see the imprint of his bones, but that was more from him getting over focused in something and forgetting to eat than anything else, not that people would really know the difference. He pushes his wet hair out of his eyes for the third time since he had bathed, but it just began its patient journey back where it always preceded to rest.
When he sees the other boys, he bows before entereing the soothing waters. He gets in a respectful distance from the others, close enough that they can easily speak if they wish, but far enough that he isn't intruding. People are here to relax, and today must have been a stressful day for many. He closes his eyes, saying a soft prayer under his breath to the fortunes.

Kobushi returns to his relaxation. He spies the other boy and manages to make the appropriate gestures to signal that he could join them if he liked. He was sure Isao, friendly fellow he seemed to be, would not mind.

"Konbanwa!"
The Crane chirped with a smile at the arrival of the other boy. He looked to Kobushi and nodded before turning his eyes to Bai. "How're you? Come to enjoy the hot springs too? Daidoji-san and I are enjoying ourselves and I don't think we've met. I'm Kakita Isao and this here is Daidoji Kobushi. Who're you?"

The Phoenix moves closer to the other boys, happy that they decided to introduce themselves. "This one is Shiba Bai. It is a pleasure to meet you both. I thought a soak would be a good way to relax after our first day of classes. And a good way to see if it would be wise to make this more of a habit."

Bai nods enthusiastically. "Indeed, it is very nice. I think this shall not be my last time here." He returns the Crane's smile. "I too am a first year. Trained as a scholar as I am not much of a bushi. I mostly like to read, or game." He shrugs, but his smile doesn't fade. "Kind of boring I guess."
