(This thread takes place by the dorms.) As many of the students began filing toward the cafeteria, dojo, or wherever on the first morning of school a sound would ring out across the dormitories, loud and proud! The boys, girls and teachers who live on campus would hear an electric guitar blaring out a tune (though about an octave higher) from a pair of amplifiers set atop the boy's dorms. A lone figure stood atop them, an old electric guitar that's seen better days in his hands and a pair of amps in equally rough shape just behind him. It was probably the only place in the entire school where Mirumoto Noboru could get some peace and quiet while sharing his love of music with as many people as possible -- though in this case, with the song's varying distortions, the frantic speed it obtains and the fact it's so early on the first day of classes there may be many that wish he'd kept it to himself!

Kiki and Koko passing by looked towards where the music was coming from and sighed. They both nodded to each other and went to sit beside the boy. Neither of them utter a word as Koko continued to sign to Kiki perhaps a song.

And from the other side, the female dorms, not long after, came another guitar. Hoshiko had heard the music, and in an instance had grabbed her amp and guitar and was running up the stairs. A music morning! She was so there. Soon after, she was also playing the same tune on her far better quality guitar and amps. However, she matched his pitch, a grin on her face as she watched Noboru. This is the only way to start a morning!

The echoing base from the girl's dorm told the Dragon immediately who had answered his call. This brought a bit of a grin to his face becauase he knew just how good the young Doji was, but he was determined to show he was her equal. Then Koko and Kiki show up from the fire escape and he jumps a bit. Noboru takes a deep breath, then nods to them before starting in on a simple C-major scale, waiting for the reply to come from the other side as if to suggest what song they should duel over next.

As he reaches the top of the scale, the reply comes - from the top of the scale down. Then she launched into a quick solo that certainly showed off her skills.

While Noboru favored his acoustic guitar, especially since he could easily transport it to class and didn't need to worry about lugging around amps to go with it, the basic principles of both instruments as well as Hoshiko's bass were certainly the same, even if the number of strings and their tunings could be drastically different. Almost as if trolling Hoshiko, though, he pulls into a very simple riff to hide what he was capable of and to see what kind of response he got in kind!

And the twin fox girls continued to do their silly hand signals. Kiki placed a hand on the amp just to fell the vibration and try to figure out the notes. Koko on the other hand bobbed her head and smiled. She knew this guy wanted peace and freedom and this was his way to let it go and be free.

Noboru looks back to Koko and Kiki while he hears Hoshiko's reply, still not sure what to make of the twins but at least pleased to know they're enjoying the dueling guitarists. He offered a half smile to them then motioned to one of the few comfortable spots on the roof whee they could sit and listen, then responded to Hoshiko with the melody to her song as a form of accompaniment. Not his best, either, but it seemed like the pair were warming up for something.

They both shook their head as they signed that they would stay there. The other place was too far for Kiki to note the vibrations and really note the song's beat and harmony.
