Protege's no. Toys well I'm still collecting a few. Otomo Katsumi sips her tea. "For students your the only one. To be fair I've never been one for casting a wide net. As a matter of fact you are the first person I've considered." I would say ever buuuuuuuut Kiyoko I suppose counts. She smiles at the girl. "Then continuing this line of inquiry. Would you be interested in being my Protege?"

Otomo Katsumi folds her hands together. It's probably a safe bet. "Mirumoto Aiko-Sama I suspect has taken some degree of interest in you. To what extent I cannot say." She shrugs her shoulders. "At least that's what I gathered from our time in the hotsprings last night." She tilts her head up. "Oh that Kakita boy is probably a fair bit infatuated with you. Though I imagine that won't pan out as well as he would hope. Do try to spare his feelings where possible." She looks back down at Ichiro Priya. "If you had to choose between myself and Mirumoto Aiko-Sama which would you choose?"

"Is there a good answer to that question? On one hand I dismiss guidance from a thunder, the earthly incarnation of man's power. On the other, I dismiss guidance from a woman who has shown her interest directly, and is of the Imperial families." she shrugs her shoulders softly "What I would have to say, is that my first devotion is to the Emperor, and as long as I keep that in my heart, I can can accept guidance from many others" she looks her in the eye than, looking with more courage than she perhaps feels "Do you need me to be yours, and yours alone Otomo-sensei?"

Otomo Katsumi grins and nods her head. "I've never been one for sharing. I confess that much. Though I do not wish to risk losing one so young and full of talent. Which puts me in a bit of a quandary." She taps her finger to her lips a few times. "Would exclusivity be a deal break for you?"

That is a difficult question... Aiko has much to offer. She is a great warrior, and a superlative swordswoman, she had experience with the issues that Priya was facing. On the other hand, there was something about Katsumi. What she was offering was not training in the sword, which Aiko would give anyway, in her position as sensei. She was offering something else, a demeanor, a training in personality, a guiding through this difficult period in her life. Strength. The Strength to take what she wanted.
"No, if either sensei needed me to remain true to them, I would be true to them, whoever I chose." she feels she has as many questions now as she does answers, almost none for both of them "If I cannot make a decision now, if I chose to talk to Mirumoto-sensei... Will that be a deal breaker for you?"

"Why of course not." After all I suspect you'll come back to me anyways. You've already been baited and hooked. Pulling to hard on the line is a sure fire way to lose you. No no a gentle approach. She folds her hands together. "Do you suspect Mirumoto Aiko-Sama would have a problem with you speaking with me?"

Otomo Katsumi rubs her chin. "My strength lies with my birthright as an Otomo. As a member of the Imperial family I have been gifted with a great many things. Cliche though it may be to say." She closes her eyes. "Naughty naughty though asking two questions at once. Allow me then to answer your question. What is it you suspect I will share with you?"
