Hisui looked at her schedule for the day. It was barren, devoid of classes.
She didn't mind it much. That left her some time to work on lessons and ideas for her next classes. Saturdays seemed lighter and less stressful than she remembered, but perhaps that was because she now had years of experience to help her rethink her definition. With a glass of something warm and sweet in one hand, paperwork in the other, she starts going through some files.
Sometimes she'd smile. Lapse into that stupid, smitten look. No song for today, though. Singing in the rain never felt right to her. It was as if doing so just made the rain stronger, angrier. A silly notion, but it was hard for her to shake.
After all, she couldn't be the only teacher in this entire school that had an open schedule on a Saturday, right?

One teacher that did have a class today, in the next period, still takes the time beforehand to enter the lounge where Hisui is both working and reflecting on the past days' events; it is Shosuro Saito, the Chemistry and Cooking teacher. He gives the Unicorn a curt bow as he notices her before going to the refrigerator to rummage for something to tide himself over until lunch. There's a yogurt cup and spoon in his hand when he sits down at a table a good distance from her. He reaches into his jacket, frowns at finding nothing there, then sighs and begins to eat.

Kumataro stepped into the teacher's lounge, rain soaked and looking around blearily. He really did not want to be here this early, but since he, Renmaru, and Kojima had forgotten to agree on a spot to meet for the bar crawl it seemed the best place to wait for them. Of course it had to be raining on the day they had agreed upon, as well. That was just his luck.
It was hard to complain about such things through the splitting headache he had, though. He was just grateful he was not teaching any classes today, he did not want to set a bad example for the students. Well, worse than the one he had set last night...
He shook his head to clear it and winced, immediately regretting that decision. He bowed to Saito and Hisui, giving them a raspy "Good morning" before lumbering over to the coffee machine. As tired and hungover as he was, though, even something as simple as making coffee was difficult to remember. He fiddled with it for a while, and then sighed, staring at it as if willing it to work.

"Good morning," Hisui greets to both.
She recalls the events of the night before. Her back still hurt, in fact. She decides not to bring it up.
"There isn't anything much to eat, if you're looking for food. I think someone beat us all to it."

Saito points to his yogurt patronizingly in response to Hisui, as if she didn't understand what it was or what he'd been doing with it. He then rolls his eyes and takes another bite, watching Kumataro with some care, if only to be sure the lumbering man didn't run into or fall on top of him.

Kumataro sighed again and gave up with the coffee machine, then went and had a seat on the couch.
"Ah well...I'll eat at lunch, then."
He looked at Hisui, concern plain on his face.
"You okay this morning?"

"Back stings a little, but I'll live," she answers. "You? You looked ready to throw yourself back into the lake last time I saw you."

"With the way my head is pounding? I'm still not sure I don't want to."
He rubbed his face with a hand.
"But yeah, I'm fine. Well, fine as I can be."

"Sit down. Water's probably better than coffee for you at this point," she says. Wouldn't be the first time I had to help someone nurse a hangover.
She decides a shift in topic is suitable.
"No classes today, or just this period, Hida-san?" Glance, tilt. "Shosuro-san?"

"Nah, no classes for me today. Thank the ancestors for that, I'd just be setting a bad example."
He stood up and headed to the water cooler.
"You're right though, water's a better idea."
