Tamori Yoshi had searched for somewhere to be alone when lunch was over on this half-day of classes. As far as he could tell, no one had used the indoor pool at all these last two days. He also reasoned that no one would be wanting to use it now, on such a rainy day. Thus, the young Dragon stole away from the other students to sit himself on the bleechers that overlooked the giant chlorine-smelling rectangle of water.
"Come, as you are... as you were... as I want you to be," he sings. The acoustics in the large, unoccupied room were fairly decent as well, and he easily loses himself in the song. "As a friend... as a friend... as a known enemy...." He sings it slower, and with a bit more lamentation than the original, pouring sadness into the melody as a way of expelling it from his own heart.

Hoshiko had much the same idea. Nobody used the pool...so it was an ideal time for her to use it! She wasn't a strong swimmer - in fact she was extremely poor, and avoided it normally. However, she wanted to get some exercise in for the day.
So, while the Dragon was singing to himself, Hoshiko entered whistling a tune wearing just her powder blue swimsuit and a swimming cap, goggles in hand. Her body looked quite lithe but agile, and the swimsuit on her showed her off quite well.
wait...singing?
She looked around, and a small 'eep' at a boy wandering around! She instinctively put an arm over her modest chest.
"A-ah...I'm sorry! I thought nobody would be here!" She bowed to the boy, face blushing.
Now I'll have an audience to my flailing around! How horrible!

"Take your--clothes... off...," Yoshi's song ends abruptly with other words whispered in confusion. In his surprise at the sound of another's presence, he had mashed up the next lyric with an observation aloud that a girl had entered without clothes. He immediately stops gawking and turns away from her when she uses her arm to mostly futilely cover up for modesty.
"I'm so sorry...!" he apologizes to the wall behind him. He almost gives a bow for emphasis, but it would have been aimed in the wrong direction, so he stops himself. "I... I didn't think... anyone... it's... it's raining." He tries to explain his logic and what he was doing here, but he realizes he's not using enough words and probably coming off as just weird. It didn't help that blood was rushing just about everywhere except his brain at the moment.

"It's an indoor pool" Hoshiko pointed out, walking towards the water and hopped in quickly. She wasn't naked, perhaps luckily for the both of them, but she still felt nearly naked in only a thin piece of swimsuit.
"I can't swim very well, so I won't be here long" she said honestly - and it was true. She was a really bad swimmer. "If it looks like I'm drowning...well, I might be" there was a nervous laugh, as if she was trying to make some kind of a joke.

"I took First Aid this morning," he replies uncertainly. He's not making a joke of his own in return; he's actually trying to reassure her in case there was any truth in hers. He also hasn't turned around from looking at the wall. There really wasn't much to that swimsuit, and he was afraid what another look might do to him. Also he knew it would be rude to just gawk at her, which he wasn't entirely sure he could prevent himself from doing.

"Glad to hear it!" Hoshiko started swimming. Slowly...badly...there was a little splashing as well, as she struggled a little. She had to stop at one point, coughing. D2 C3 swimming (Badly)?: 2d10 6

"Are you ok?" Yoshi asks, looking back reflexively to check. His brain wishes he hadn't, but other parts of him were happy about it. She seems fine, he reassures himself, although barely, given her clearly poor attempt at swimming. He realizes he's staring, but tells himself that it was just to assess the state of her well-being as he turns toward the wall again. I'd better stay to make sure, though, he mentally adds, actually out of sincere concern, not thinking about trying to get another peek. He's trying his hardest not to think abou that, in fact.

She made it to the end, holding onto the side to catch her breath. "I...told you I'm terrible at this" she replied with a laugh and a cough "but I'm not a quitter!" So she pushed off to swim back! It was...about as good as the last one D2 C3 swimming back?: 2d10 7

"Sounds like you're getting better," Yoshi calls out encouragingly. There was a barely-perceptible improvement in her second run over her first, though he wondered if maybe it was just wishful thinking on his part. "I... can't really swim either. If you get into trouble in the deep end, I'll reach for you with one of those long-handled net cleaning things...." He looks around the walls for where one might be found hanging.
"...those... things that they probably only have for outdoor pools," he sighs, realizing his mistake.

Perhaps thankfully for him, she made it back to the shallow end safely! She hopped out to sit on the side, getting her breath back a moment. "Thank you, you're sweet" she smiled in his direction, giving him a seated bow "I'm Doji Hoshiko. You are?"
