Eito gives an apologetic smile. "It's a brilliant move on her part though. That way even if she doesn't chose me, which seems likely, she gets my aid. I promise though she is quite worth it. And it's not all just temptation and seduction, I'm not just a pretty face, though I appreciate that you find me so." he says with a obviously flirting smile. "For my part, I just want to make sure you have no ill intent with her. After that I will support her decision fully, though, if we both lose at least there is some small comfort we can take in each other hmm?" Not applying any techniques but he does want to make sure the other man knows that Eito is an option.

Kangei chuckles, "certainly Eito-san, I did not mean to imply you were simply an attractive man. Though it is true I was more highlighting our differences. I have a great deal of money and pull in the court as do you, I feel no shame in saying we are good looking men, however were I am reserved you are brash and where I am gentle you seem forward." Kangei's smile is a twinge nervous "I was not saying that is all you are just saying what you had over me." Kangei gives another more full laugh "I suppose we would have that. Though I admit i had not thought of you as an option Eito-san, it's not something I usually do. I won't lie and say I've never been with a man, however, there is usually a woman between us."

Eito nods. "Ah I understand now, apologies for mishearing. Brash and forward do describe me quite well. The advantages of people expecting the worst from you is that you have more options. Still you are not out of this yet Kangei-san. You have advantages yet." he offers before he laughs gently. "Well there is a woman between us at the moment. But I am always an option. If you wish to try being brash and forward for once, do be careful though. It is addictive."

In Kangei's mind images flash, his hand on Umeko's arm, his lips pressed against hers, the pounding of his heart as he felt the softness of her lips. "....yes Eito-san I believe it could be." A small shake of his head dislodged the pleasant memories "however I shall keep your offer in mind" for once in this conversation his smile turns a bit playful "I've never been one to say no to new experiences."

Kangei nods "I strive for the same thing that all samurai work for. I want to bring glory to my clan and family. Using my skills to elevate our position. Personally raising my own status to avoid obscurity, to become known. To carve a place out for myself in this empire, as I said I will have little inheritance but still wish to have lands and wealth of my own."

Eito taps his finger on his lips. "Hmmm, an answer with both Bushido and Shourido in it's telling. Your ambitions are for clan and self. Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful." He considers a moment. "Perhaps I will need to tell our clan we should consider getting you, if things don't work out."

Kangei chuckled "Well while I am flattered I could never betray my clan in such a way. Though I do facilitate deals for other clans if their need is great, their coin is good, and of course if my lord allows it."
