Tarik shrugged.
"Indeed I did not. Since I had made other arrangements for that." He responded. :You should not worry about this." He pointed at the chair with the jackets Aziz had brought. There was a bag from a certain restaurant from down town, one that both Reiha and Ryouko would be able to identify.
He approached the Spider and whispered in his ear.
"I don't leave loose ends, man."

Ryouko shook herself from her darkening mood, focussing on the others present instead. Her gaze flickered to the bag Tarik pointed to and she couldn't help shaking her head slightly, amused.
Turning to the spider, she offered him a comforting grin. "I assure you some of us are more then looking forward to your grilled meat." With a last pat on her steed's neck, the Unicorn whistled and Daisuke resumed his training, running a few meters away from them. The sounds of heavy hooves tranpling the ground soon accompanied that of the rain.
"Is there a reason you don't eat meat, Doji-san?" Ryouko asked, with no judgement in her tone, only curiosity.

Kogeki blinks. "Oh ah good on you man, alright then. I won't doubt you again though I know how to make roasted veggies. And if your objection is ethical and not taste I know how to make a great mushroomburger Doji-san. Taste just like beef" he offers with a large nod. He smiles at the Unicorn. "Thanks, I actually love Unicorn and Crab style cooking the best, so bold. They don't care what anyone says, they just know what they like."

There's a bright smile for Tarik as Reiha spots the bag. It appears she really doesn't tire of eating that dish.
"Oh, it's ethical more then a spiritual taboo. Well, sort of. I do observe a taboo against killing, but that is more me personally causing death. Still, the thought that an animal has had to die just to feed me disturbs me. It feels as if I would have killed the poor thing if I ate it." She looks around hesitantly. "I'm of course not saying that you shouldn't!"

He gave an apologetic glance at Ryouko as well as a what-was-I-supposed-to-do stare before turning to Kogeki.
"Don't worry about it, bro. I am sure that you could pull it. It was just that I screwed up by forgetting to tell you about that and seriously sending a servant to get a kitsune odon, the way Reiha-sama likes it, wasn't big deal. Next time I will be more precise. We need to work out the details of your new contract by the way and I need to tell you about the other thing you mentioned last night."
Reiha's reaction was the expected and was well received with a smile.
"I think I should apologise for not ever thinking of that in this way." He told her. "I suppose it was either your impeccable manners or my lacking perception that caused that. Forgive me, I didn't mean to offend your sensitivities."

Ryouko grinned widely at Kogeki, laughing at his words. "Quite right! I have to admit I was surprised when Tarik told us a Spider cooked yesterday's food. No offense, of course, but I thought for sure it was a Unicorn. It's nice to see our excellent taste spans over many families." She winked at the cook. "One day perhaps everyone will understand the wonders of spices and meats."
Her eyes fell back on Reiha and she offered the shy Crane a comforting smile. "Of course I will forgive those that don't eat meat for ethical reasons... But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try some of those spices, Doji-san." She said with a teasing grin.

"Ethical. No probs. I can spice up Mushroom or carrots pretty good and give you a taste of Unicorn spice without the ethical concern. Do you eat eggs or butter too or is it just meat?" he asks before he smiles at Ryouko and winks back. "Spreading the word each day. Spider cuisine borrows alot from Unicorn cuisine except the cut of the meat is a lil different. Still no offense taken. In fact I will take it as a compliment of the highest type."

Reiha unpacks her meal, savoring the rich smell with a big smile.
"Oh! I'd love to try those Unicorn spices with some mushrooms and carrots. What are they exactly? do the other clans not use them?"

For once everything seemed in order and he could relax and enjoy the meal. He was enthusiastic about the trip but tried to not talk about it. He smiled and smoked his cigar.
