He seemed sincere enough. Isao adjusted his glasses before removing them to clean on his kendogi. "I will talk to Fuyuko-sensei," he offered. "I am her assistant so I have a responsibility to help her teach iai to my fellow students. Very well then..."
He sighed as he put his glasses back on.
"Do you have a Facescroll? Or I could text you."

"Thank you, Shinjo-san. It has it's merits, but...I think we have just discovered that is not well suited to the style of dueling you use here."

"Perhaps, perhaps not. There was another foreigner in our last dueling class. I am sure you can be taught." He says as he gets up and starts to stretch.

"I think you should enroll in any history and etiquette classes you can, Roduregu-san," Isao suggested. He was attempting to be sincere and not merely be a dick; the gaijin seemed to know nothing about Rokugan beyond having a loose grasp of the language. So, cultural understanding would do him well. "If Fuyuko-sensei approves it, I could offer to tutor you in the mornings, before class. I will look into how she feels about training a gaijin... But Tarik-san was in class yesterday, even if he didn't do very well."

The triumph of the Kakita makes her smile, and she goes through a few more kata with Doji Reiha Reiha also seems to relax as the tension in the dojo dissipates and is able to focus more on her kata. "You are a new student, Kakita-san? I haven't seen you in classes..." Her eyes widen. "Or... Are you a sensei?" You never know in this place.. |

The triumph of the Kakita makes her smile, and she goes through a few more kata with Doji Reiha Reiha also seems to relax as the tension in the dojo dissipates and is able to focus more on her kata. "You are a new student, Kakita-san? I haven't seen you in classes..." Her eyes widen. "Or... Are you a sensei?" You never know in this place.. "Oh my lovely flower, you honour me" she smiles as she goes through a kata "I am a third year, a transfer from the school in Tsuma" |

"Ah! The Kakita Academy! Like Isao-sempai! Okaa-sama first wanted me to go there, she's an alumna of the artisan program, but in the end we decided I should go to the Shiba artisan school."
Well, her mother decided that, because she would be too much of an embarrassment no doubt.
Reiha seems a bit uncomfortable and self-conscious. Being called 'lovely flower' has that effect on her you know.

"My sister was an artisan, so devoted to her craft. She was a sculptor, before she passed. What did you do?"
She seems now, to be more interested in discussing this than kata
