"As long as you don't mind getting wet with me," he proposed, undaunted by the rain. He hadn't quite prepared for the rain, still wearing his school uniform save for the lossened collar, tie, and unbuttoned jacket. A little rain he had walked through had tossled his hair bit it wasn't soaked. Yet. He looked around the barn before he asked, "Can I help you with Mizuki, Utaku-san?"

She looks up at Mizuki. "What do you say Mizuki think you want to let him try?" Mizuki simply neighs in response. "Well alright I suppose if you promise to behave." She'll turn to Kakita Isao. "If you want to try and help Mizuki says she'll behave." She smiles and takes a step back. "I don't mind riding in the rain I've ridden plenty of times out in the rain. Heheh I practiced some of my trick shots while doing it as well."

He smiled at that.
"Well, let's get her ready. You get the saddle blanket, I'll get the saddle?"
He knew the basics of dressing a horse. Isao went into the stall to help her out, all the while chatting her up, "So, do you do yabusame? I suspect you mean archery from horseback when talking about your trick shots."

As she gathered the necessary items to dress her horse she nodded her head. "I have trained in Yabusame. It's a lot of fun. My Sensei used to always tell me he'd never seen anyone as good as me. It was like I was born to be in the saddle." She chuckles and blushes slightly. "You know... Unicorn and horses." Her eyes brightened up. "I can show you sometime. I'll have targets set up. There are shrines around here right? I wonder if they'll let me though..."

"I'd love to see you practice yabusame sometime. I'm as passionate about iaido and kendo as you are about horses. I graduated from the KDA with top marks you know," Isao said with a smiling, carefully getting Mizuki ready. He draped her saddle over the horse blanket and began to buckle the straps.

Mizuki simply observed the pair as they saddled her with slight curiosity. She briefly glanced over to her friend. She seemed more enthusiastic. The horse could only sigh and shake it's mane. Her friend was almost hopeless. "I never went to any formal schools. My parents just hired the best tutors money can buy." She looks down briefly. "I'm kind of jealous you know..."

He was not so clueless as to not realize why. Isao only offered her a warm smile as if to somehow reassure her, offering that token hand of friendship. After all, she was cute, if not a little bit shy, so making more connections would benefit him. "There's nothing to be jealous about. You had a first class education, I was just a part of the crowd. You're probably smarter than me," he offered sincerely. "I was once told I'm not the sharpest sword on the rack, I'm just the most graceful one - which accounts for something. Ah, but we're all different, ne? Embrace who you are. Everyone is awesome for who they are."

She flushes pink for a moment. Before nodding her head. "I suppose I did." She sighs and leans against the wall looking up at the roof of the stables. Just sort of admiring the sound of the rain. "Still... It could be very lonely. I guess I always wanted to be part of the crowd.. Instead I was always isolated away kept safe." She holds out her hand. "I felt like a caged bird. I could see the open sky but never quite get to it." She lowers her hand and looks down.

"Well, you're not a caged bird anymore, but a free bird with bars on her cage," Isao offered with a sincere tone, continuing the metaphor. "You can fly wherever you wish. You have open skies above you noe. Why don't you just fly and stop looking back at your cage, Utaku-san? You will never be free if you keep allowing yourself to be caged by your unhappy memories."

She looks over to Kakita Isao and smiles at him. "I suppose you are right. I mean mother and father aren't here anymore to tell me what to do. I guess I never really thought about what freedom means." She sighs and crosses her arms. "You've been free most of your life. What would you do now?"
