Koshiro nods, picks up his tray, then follows the Dragon over to the other table. Once there, he gives a bow to those present. "Good afternoon, samas. Thank you for the invitation to join you at your table. This one is known as Koshiro. I apologize for the... poorness of my meal and state." Up close, the others can see that Koshiro's uniform was fairly torn in places and had repair stitches here and there.

Nadeshiko stood as Koshiro approached, offering the ronin a half bow before taking her seat again. Her eyes roamed briefly over his uniform before sighing to herself as she rummages in one pocket of her school uniform.
"Well, Koshiro-San. You're the fourth person I've met who's introduced themselves like that. i'm starting to think it's a disease. In either case, welcome to the table. I am Horiuchi Nadeshiko, it is a pleasure to meet you."
She pulls her notebook out then, scribbling something down as she holds her pen up in front of the Ronin before squinting down it at him.

Kobushi shrugs off the apology. "If it's any consolation, I've had worse. I'm Daidoji Kobushi."
"And it's just a quirk of the language, Horiuchi-san. Very formal, very detached from the concept of a 'self'. You find it a lot in folks who deal with people way up higher than them in status. Makes the speaker seem harmless."

Koshiro nods in agreement with Kobushi's words as he takes a seat. The Unicorn's actions seem... peculiar. Was she writing something about him just then? Maybe just noting down mental notes so she might remember who he was? But who was he to say anything about that. Nope, if you keep your head down, you might end up not losing it.

Hinata smiled reassuringly at Koshiro.
"It is fine. I am not exactly wealthy either, Koshiro-san. You are here on a scholarship as well, I presume?"

Koshiro nods as he takes another mouthful of cup noodles. "I am on scholarship here, working with the RHS Maintenance Crew. If you have things that need fixing, we're the ones you can call. This one mainly handles the requests at the Boys' Dorm, though I may handle other repair works if others are unavailable."

Hinata nodded. Maintenance, she could respect that. She was not going to admit her job, though, that was far too embarrassing.
"That is good to hear. It is nice to meet someone else here on the same terms."

Nadeshiko eventually puts her notebook away, tucking it into a pocket of her bag for later before nibbling on her anmitsu some more. As she listened she swirled her spoon around in her bowl for a long time before looking up
"I don't mean to be rude... but I was unaware one could be... a student here and poor. I always thought this was a school for those with uh... a slightly higher station in life if that makes sense? Not that there's anything wrong with being poor, it's just something I never thought of before."

Hinata raised a finger.
"And you would be correct, in most cases. However, there are scholarships for gifted students."
She smiled slightly.
"So a scholarship is, in a way, a compliment I suppose."

Nadeshiko ponders that for a moment... and then glances to the side slightly before leaning in slightly closer to Hinata.
"You know thinking of it that way? I think I respect the scholarship students a lot more than everyone else who's here... even me. I can't imagine how smart and talented you'd have to be to get a scholarship but by getting one you've really proven yourselves. I can respect that level of skill."
