The Daidoji has heard the blame cast on spirits for the misfortune of others before, but over something like this it just seemed so petty. He didn't know the parties involved well enough to offer any judgment, but when it comes to relationships that falls on the individuals far more than any other mechanism of fate can control. Koko eventually said it herself--if someone didn't love him as he was, then they never quite loved him, did they?
But that was in assuming it was so simple when he had no idea who or what has been involved.
At Kogeki's greeting he returns a "Good morning." At Koko and Kiki's however, he feels the need to be more formal as a result of their formality. "Greetings Isawa Kokoro and Kikiri-san. This one is Daidoji Satoru." He then throws the Gyushi an apologetic look like he just realized how awful it must seem to get a more half-hearted greeting as opposed to the more elaborate one he granted to the Isawa pair.

"It is an honor to meet you Daidoji sama." Koko and Kiki bowed. "I hope Gyushi San doesn't anger the fortune with his attitude. A fortune can be vindictive if not treated properly." She looked at Kogeki

Kogeki gives a nod to Satoru. " Sup. Gyoshi Kogeki. Nice to meet you and uh I mean what you supposed to do when they already raining vengeance on you?"

"Well it's..." He pauses, surprised at how quickly he allowed himself to be drawn into this debate. I guess I've already started talking. I might as well at least finish what I was about to say.
"...probably not after you in particular. It's...easy to blame the Fortunes when things go poorly or praise them when they go well. It's harder to simply praise them for existing and taking the good and bad that comes along with it. This...doesn't sound like a matter of fortune however..."
He said a lot more than he wanted to and instantly regret it. Satoru was doing exactly what he was leaning against--assuming the situation. For all he knew, the person in question left because they absolutely had to.
"Why do you suppose fate is responsible?"

Kogeki pauses a moment to think. "I mean...I THINK it's cause this whole situation. Meeting her. Falling for her. Her falling for me...and then her falling for, that other guy. And just the fact that how I was born determined so much of it. It feels like fate but, how do you know if it's fate? I don't think it was any person's fault, stuff just happend. None of us planned it, I hope." he frowns slightly, a bit of anger boiling over. "I don't know. I aint a dragon, honestly I just want someone to blame and if the food is burned you blame the cook. If your romantic love goes weird then you blame the one in charge of that right?"

"NO!" Koko frowns. Is she suited to give advice on love when she hasn't loved or is love in a romantic non platonic way. She is a miko and a shugenja... Her tails wagged with fury. "NO!" She said again. The Isawa looked at Kogeki. "The food burned because the balance is off... The flavors were there. The balance is off. You don't blame the cook it is the recepy that is wrong... Benten is not at fault... you took a risk... fine... it didn't measure up to what you expected." Kiki placed a hand on Koko's shoulder trying to calm the fire girl down. "You loved... you lost... some of us don't have that luxury..." Her tails stopped wagging as the girl calmed down.

"I know that burden all to well." Utaku Hitomi says as she walks up behind Kogeki. She smiles at the young spider she met last night. "A pleasure to meet you again." She walks up to the shrine and bows her head. "I've never had a chance to fall in love with anyone on my own." She looks over to Gyushi Kogeki. "Everything in my life had already been determined. I imagine even who I must one day wed and who is to be the father of my children. Has all been determined by what my parents want." She again turns her attention to the shrine. Why did she feel so open with this boy. Never mind the others at the temple at the moment. She turned her attention to the other two. "Oh my apologies. My name is...." She glances to the boy whose family name she had still not yet given. "Hitomi. A pleasure to meet you both."

No...no, he's no Dragon. But Satoru can maybe, kind of understand where Kogeki was coming from. It's a TERRIBLE explanation of events however. Probably the worst summary of events he has ever heard. He had no timeframes to go on, no personalities to match to the 'he says she says'. How would he know if the person he speaks of left him with good or poor reason? Things don't just happen. Life is all cause and effect. The fates just have the spoiler's guide and if they feel particularly interested in a subject they will mess with the code.
When the Utaku seemingly came out of nowhere there was a slight, yet notable shift towards Kogeki. He didn't deal well with sudden, new faces. Especially women. He really needed to get over this.
"Um, Daidoji Satoru," he says, with a bow almost too hasty. He wasn't sure what to say or offer. He too had his whole life planned ahead for him, but so far he has been willfully avoiding these responsibilities.

"Alright fine! But who wrote the recipe? Like there were a thousand reasons I should have never met her? Why did it all happen? Is it just random? Then what do the fortunes Do? Is it the fortunes? Then why are they messing with me. Is it all just us people? Well then I guess it was me but I have no idea why. I mean, Im sorry you don't have the luxury. I don't regret being able to just...just mad about how it turned out." he says before he turns to the girl and offers her a small sheepish smile. "I uh.. I really hope you get to spread your wings while here. I guess, the ability to mess up is a blessing itself. I should look at it that way."

"You silly..." She said in a quiet voice. "Anooo... I am Isawa Kokoro and this is my sister Isawa Kikiri." She bow a bit lower than expected. "At least some have plans... I just am... No idea... just a path..." It is her Agasha quarter speaking as they were former Dragon. Besides her uncle was a Mirumoto Taoist in some sense. Maybe she spent to much time in the Dragon lands with Kiki.
Kiki waved a shy hello to the new comer.
