“You seem to be—“ shit he was doing it again. Satoru exhaled and quickly got over it. “—you don’t seem to be taking into account your own will or the will of the one who has broken your heart. You have control of what you say and do, as did she, as does the one who stole her heart in turn. Fate does not speak the words that come out of your mouth or move your limbs for you. Your initial meeting may be the mechinations of fate at work, but what transpired thereafter is more your own responsibility. Fate simply presents the opportunity, and we decides which ones we will take or refuse.”
When he was done speaking he seemed nervous, expecting to be called out, and not very eager to defend his point of view if he had to. While it’s never a bad thing to learn something new, sometimes it can be utterly ruined in how you learn it. Koko and Kiki seemed to be way more spiritually connected than everyone in this temple put together. He could be sounding like a babbling fool in their presence.

She looks to Satoru and then Kogeki. "You had far more liberty to choose. I don't think it was fate that made that decision for you." She looks at the shrine sadly. "The only path fate gave you was the one you were born with. Fate gave you a path that lets you choose. Fate gave me a path that left me open to no choices." She looks back at Kogeki. A sad smile on her lips. "She may have hurt you and I am sorry for your pain. I can't imagine that pain." She places a hand to her chest. "I never will. You have the fate to choose. You can keep walking forward. I'm sure a nice person like you can find someone else in your life." She sighs and looks up to the heavens.

"Ok.. so no plans sounds bad. And well you have choices. Some of them are just gonna have to suck cause you need to fight against stuff thats real big." he says before he scratches his head. "Thanks for calling me nice I...I aint though. I just try not to be a jerk."
Then he thinks to what the Crane said. "Bro, that's true. I mean I don't want to blame them. Maybe that's the problem. I don't wanna be mad at her cause I still care about her. I don't wanna be mad at him cause it might get me killed and he didn't do anything on purpose. And maybe it's just me being mad at me for...reasons. For being conflicted. For betraying my virtues so that she could follow hers."

Koko became silent and started to pick up the papers that Kogeki had thrown at the fortune's statue. I brought her peace of mind in her now raged state. Kiki helped Koko best she could.

“You can’t force yourself to get over it,” Satoru states, “it’s hard to just stop feeling some way about it, but I don’t think blaming the fates is the way to go.”
He spotted Koko as she was in the process of picking up, stooping down to help. After recovering his share, he looked to Kogeki—not with the cold gaze of harsh judgement, but with solemn understanding. He glances down at the papers, then presents them to the Gyushi. “The year has only just begun. Plenty of time to make more friends and stumble into something new.”

"Then don't be mad, be happy... Think about it seeing her happy should bring happiness to your heart. As Daidoji San says the year is just starting and your path it is yet on it first step." Koko gave the papers that she had gathered to Kogeki. Kiki as well gave him some papers.
Kiki smiled. She knew what makes many of the students here happy. She took Kogeki's hand and placed it on her head. Koko sighed then chuckled. "Kiki wants you to pet her."

Utaku Hitomi looks over to him and smiles. "They are right the year is still young. Maybe you'll be lucky..." Her smiles turns sadder as she turns back to the shrine. "I have faith that you will find someone who makes you happy and deserves that happiness with you."

Kogeki looks at the papers. "Uh.. I mean you can burn those or something... I don't want em. It's poetry for my poetry class. Its uh.. all about her. But I guess time will help. Just want someone to be mad at today you know? And uh... sorry lil one. I know I did what I did to make her happy but, I can't really feel it yet. Gimme some time. You on the other hand." he says as his hand is taken, he begins to pet Kiki gently, as one would a small puppy. "You on the other hand I can be happy for! Aren't you the cutest!"

Well, now the act of throwing those papers around made a little more sense given the circumstances. Satoru found his attention drawn to the first page as he slowly withdrew the offer, scanning over the contents quickly before coming to the realization that he might be breaching someone's privacy. He flushes slightly, embarrassed for having let his curiosity get the better of him. These were supposed to be very personal. The Spider did just kind of toss them everywhere, but now that they had context, it was like reading through someone else's letters.
"Sorry...um, this one's pretty good," he says, deciding not to keep his accidental nosiness a secret for the sake of being upfront instead. "Out of context, I mean. Well, even in context. If you rid yourself of them, what will you end up turning in for class?"

Utaku Hitomi glances around left and right embarrassed. "I have no real talent for poetry but I can help you write something if you want... I mean..." She swallows nervously. "That sounds like something fun Gyushi-San."
