Aiko closes her eyes, sighing, "...I do not know for certain, Doji-san. Because even if we were to stop our feud, it would not change the fact that there are other events that resulted from our feud that would still strain the relationship between our two clans. And for some, blood calls out for blood. I would not say, 'Yes, we can stop it' when the actions of others are entirely beyond our control."
Her voice is gentle as she opens her eyes again, looking right at the Crane, "But...I suspect that there is hope. Because of children like you, Doji-san."

"But surely...you have to try. For the sake of samurai like Mirumoto-senpai. Or like me." Hoshiko took a moment to calm herself, she had got emotional in her plea. Closing her eyes, and taking a breath before opening them.
"If someone tried to attack me because of the feud, I couldn't defend myself."

Aiko leans forward, "Doji-san, have you not been paying attention. I can certainly try to do something, but it will not stop everything, as blood has already been shed by both sides and that leads to further bloodshed. What that takes is people like yourself actually working with the other side to get people to stop."

"I have been listening, but I don't think you've been" Hoshiko frowned "you and Kakita-sama are the reason for it, even if it has spiraled out of control. While you and him are in this blood feud, the excuse still exists."

Aiko looks at the young woman, then sighs, "And things often look far simpler to those who aren't directly involved in a feud. Doji-san, I have given you my advice on the subject. I would suggest you do not push further."

"And what about Mirumoto-senpai? He isn't involved in your Feud, yet his sister is dead because of it" Hoshiko stood up, angrier now "I don't know how you can teach here, or even face yourself, knowing you're fanning the flames. An honourable samurai would take the initiative, and end it."

Aiko glares at Hoshiko, "It ever occur to you, Doji-san, that working here is an attempt for me to avoid making things worse? I have been trying, merciful Jizo, have I been trying, to use my position here to teach the students, most of whom are future leaders and decision makers for their respective clans, to learn from the mistakes of their elders and to try and get them to focus on the future they want to see happen. I have to live with the consequences, and yes, that means all of the blood on my hands, but that is part of being a samurai. We have to accept that our actions will sometimes have an effect that goes way beyond just us. And right now, Doji-san, I would suggest you refrain from further insults and realize that sometimes, to live with the consequences of your actions is a far greater burden, as you have to look yourself in the mirror every morning."

Hoshiko held the teachers glare with her own, hands clenched. But Aiko could see the tears in her eyes as much as her anger. "Tell that to someone who's actually had to suffer thanks to you." She bowed, and without another word turned and rushed out of the room, door slamming behind her.
(Unless anything else, /exit crying teenager!)

Aiko sighs, putting her head in her hands, "...I have. And it is never easy."
