Near the edge of the woods, Asahina Momiko nervously looked up at the clouds. In her hands she held a wicker basket, a clear plastic poncho folded up on top of it. If the weather didn't hold up, she wasn't sure what she would do, even if she'd brought the poncho. All there was to do about it, however was wait; Both for the weather to clear and for the Dragon who had texted her earlier to show up.

Momiko didn't have to wait long for either. As a young Dragon came walking across the campus grounds toward her, the sun was also breaking through the clouds to warm the afternoon with its rays.
"Asahina-sama!" Yoshi calls to her, giving a friendly wave. When he reaches her, he nods to her poncho and says, "You look worried about the weather, but I think it's clearing up. A picnic was a great idea, thank you for suggesting it." He gives her a low bow of greeting and gratitude at once.
"Where shall we set up?" he asks, looking around and eager to help.

Momiko bows in greetings as well once Yoshi gets closer. Smiling at his comments, she looks up at the sky, "You think it'll keep clearing up? I'm glad. As to the idea... well, nothing beats home cooked food, neh? Now... I was hoping to look for a glade or clearing... maybe a big flat rock of some sort. Wanna help me look?"
She'd thought about asking if he knew of a place, but she remembered he was new as she was around campus.

"Sure," Yoshi says, ready to be led upon another adventure by the bright-haired Crane. This time, it would be a sylvan one instead of urban. As they head into the woods, he continues, "I never really had many home-cooked meals. Mother and Father didn't like to go to the trouble, and we didn't have servants. There were special occasions when we'd go to Obaasan's, but that was about it." He smiles, glancing at Momiko's basket and wondering what lay within.

She nods a little as she sets off down one of the grassy paths that cut through the trees, "I never met either of my Obaas. Well... sort... of, I suppose. I have met father's father."
She desperately wanted to change subjects rather than explain the hesitation, "As to the food, I'm used to the servants cooking I suppose. Mother only cooks for the most ultra important of occasions, and father could mess up instant noodles, frankly."

"Did the servants make this too, or did you?" Yoshi asks casually, eyes scanning the forest in front of them for any of the features Momiko had listed. The sun seemed to be peeking through the canopy a bit more only a few yards ahead, so he hoped there was a clearing or glade coming up that could comfortably accommodate the two.

"The servants; I mean, I can cook and such. But putting this all together and figuring out what to bring... I was much too busy for any of that with studying for class. Plus, with staying at the dorms, I don't have easy access to a kitchen. Hm; Lots of birds out," She commented non-chalantly, though Yoshi only heard a few tits.

"What classes are you taking besides First Aid and Ikebana?" Yoshi asks, continuing to trek through the brush. Since he can't hear many birds, he looks around, figuring Momiko must have seen some sitting somewhere in silence. He smiles at her and adds, "I know you don't need to study for First Aid; it was clear how good you are at it."

"Hm...? ...oh, the CPR thing. Well, it's good to know the basics and all, but I want to know more than that, to really be able to save lives one day, you know? So even if I don't learn anything new, then it's good practice and hopefully a step to more advanced courses."
She wasn't staring at any one thing, though she seems to suddenly spot what he'd been looking at, "Ah; Think you spotted a spot then?"

"Yeah, I think we're coming up on a place with enough room," Yoshi confirms. He sighs a little before continuing, "I... I don't really know what I want to do... one day, in the future. But I do know that if someone is in trouble, I want to have the ability to help them." The two statements clash, his first sounding wistful and uncertain, while the second was firm and assured.
