Fuyuko nods and walks towards the dummy. She chalked the edge of her blade and sheathed it, and then with a quick movement that barely uses any strength she blurs her sword towards the dummy, drawing a line on its throat with her Shinai. "Hardly any force is needed to kill a man. Mind you that is not your way but you can borrow from the strategy."

He watches her intently. "Hmm... i see. My technique is effective at getting the job done. And yet it can still be done better." He stands up nest to the dummy and mimics her moves as best he could. His skill with the heavy weapon is shown as he held it like a katana. "I know it is traditionally done with a katana. I would like to try and adapt or create a technique that works with my Onoken. It is the only blade i feel comfortable with. Everything elae is too light and it feels like it will fly out of my hands." He bowed to her in thanks for the lesson. "Sensei it would be an honor to learn this style of fighting. And make it my own new style."

Fuyuko gives a small nod as she look to him. "In which case, I think you need wrist strength. What I want you to do is practice with the katana, learn the moves with it first. Then add weights and re-master the same moves. Then switch to the Onoken. This should let you use Kakita techniques with what we are doing."

"Hai." He said with a smile. "Thank you for understanding my request sensei." He looked very grateful and eager to learn. "I do have a few more questions. Should i go to your iaijutsu classes? Or will this be a privet tutoring?

Fuyuko nods. "Yes, go to the class as well but I will also tutor you in private. In addition, you may want to focus on a lighter blade when dueling. In a duel of first blood, unless you wish to kill, speed is better then strength."

He thinks about that last statment for a while before putting down the padded tetsubo back on the rack and picks up a bokken. He tries to imitate her stance, going through the motions slowly. Allowing time for corrextion and muscle memory to build. "Like this sensei?"

She nods, demonstrating the move again slowly so he can copy her. "In addition there is a mental philosophy that will help you even with larger weapons. Waiting for the moment to strike. Drawing on the Void."

"Heh?" He gave her a blank stare. "What do you mean by that?" He questioned as he followed her.

Fuyuko nods to him. "The center stance. The ability to wait for your foe to come to you."

"Oh...." he nods as he understands what she is talking about. "i normally use that as the calm before the storm so to speak." he gives her a grin. "although, it is more of an all or nothing attack style." he shrugs a little as he continues the movements. "how am i doing sensei?"
