Throughout all of this, Hinata just stood there looking vaguely bewildered. This Otomo girl violated practically every social protocol the Rokugani held, even most Crab were not this open with their affections and emotions. The Unicorn surprised her too, normally they were the least reserved of the clans along with the Crab, yet this one held herself to standards that would make a Crane proud.
Yet somehow, through that difference, Mako had not only made friends with Hitomi, but had gotten her to cry in public! Even Hinata had found herself making friends with her, despite her initial annoyance at the concert. Did the Otomo have some sort of mind control powers? Did she have some sort of genetic engineering that let her release pheromones through her skin? Was she using maho? Surely Hinata would have noticed if either of those were true.
No, apparently the girl just had such a force of personality that the breaches in etiquette looped back around into being acceptable behavior again. The concept of that was baffling to Hinata, but there it was. If that could work in Rokugan, it could likely work anywhere else in the world as well. A chill went down Hinata's spine as she realized just how dangerous this girl could be if she wanted to. It was a good thing they were friends, otherwise Hinata wagered she would be terrified.

Bai peered into the store before stepping in, surveying the scene. Not many people around. He walks over to the group of students, and bows. "I would be called Shiba Bai. I do hope I am not to late to sign up. I don't know much about working for a shop, but I am happy to learn." He smiles at all gathered. He either somehow doesn't see the two girls in their embrace right in front of him, or it just doesn't interest him enough to react specifically to.

Mako is happy in the arms, and looks over to Bai as he comes in, and gives a wave, "Of course! You're welcome to join! I mean, anyone is welcome~!" She seems comfortable being held up, even as she lets go of the hug, and lets herself down, "We're always happy to have more new members~!"
