"The Adzuki bean.. or Azuki is a small red bean, it's heavily processed and it turns out realllyyy sweet. I am definitely going to take you to get some after this, don't you worry."
She pauses as the churros arrive, the long things being rather.. confusing to her.
"So uhh... do I eat the whole thing at once? do I" she blinks and picks up the fork and knife, something she'd really only seen in movies "Do I chop it up first and then dip it? teach me Rodrigo~"

Rodrigo chuckled.
"Neither. Here, watch."
He picked up a churro for demonstration, and dipped an end in the chocolate. He then held it out to Nadeshiko.
"Here, take a bite. Not the whole thing."

Nade had totally seen this in anime, this was ritual: first she went ahhhhhh loudly, leaned forward with her eyes closed, tucked some hair behind her ear and then bit down on the churro to take a decent mouthful.
She leans back, chewing slowly on the churro, savouring it for a moment before nodding. "Delicious"
She grabs hers and dips it in the chocolate, offering it to Rodrigo in return.

Rodrigo quirked a brow at the odd display, but chuckled. He took a bite of the offered churro. He chewed for a bit and then swallowed, nodding.
"Yeah, that's a good churro alright. Between the sangria and this, this place is looking pretty promising."

Running rather late, thanks to having to coordinate bus schedules and whatnot, Tamori Yoshi finds his way to the Golden Dove. He pales at the sight of just about the fanciest restaurant in the District, having no idea how he might even hope to pay for water in a place like this. Still, out of loyalty to his new pack of lunchtime First Year friends, he maybe a little foolishly vowed to protect Horiuchi Nadeshiko during her date with a questionable gaijin. He debates whether he'd even be allowed in dressed as he was while watching the Unicorn and Rodrigo on the patio from afar. He can sort of hear them talking, and mostly about food, so he reasons he hasn't missed much. Looking around, he tries to see if Daidoji Kobushi, Koshiro, or Kuni Hinata have arrived yet as well. |

Kobushi arrives just a little bit later. He's dressed casually, and lets out an appreciative look at the place as he moves towards Yoshi. The place was fancy and he was there to support a plan that he thought seemed contradictory to everything Hinata and Nadeshiko told him last night, but he wasn't about to leave Yoshi in the lurch.
Besides, he's curious about Merenese cuisine now.
He bows as appropriate. "Tamori-san. How long have you been here?"

Hinata had arrived as well, nodding to Yoshi and Kobushi as she made it to the designated meeting spot. She may have been upset at Nadeshiko, but she was not going to let her get hurt either. Granted, she was wary about stalking her, but the others had assured her it would be okay.
"Hello, Tamori-san, Daidoji-san. Have you seen anything of interest so far?"

"I... got into the city a while ago," Yoshi admits to Kobushi, speaking softly so as not to draw attention. "It was... difficult to figure out which bus to take during the noon rush. After that, it took me some time to find this place." He tilts his head toward the open-air portion of the Golden Dove where Nadeshiko and Rodrigo were eating.
"They've just been talking about food since I got here," Yoshi answers Hinata. "I'm pretty sure; it seemed that was what a "churro" was from context." He really hoped it wasn't some Merenae sex act, and he'd been completely misreading things.

"So, doesn't sound like anything bad's happened so far. Which is good," Kobushi comments after hearing Yoshi. "So, we going in? I don't think we can stand here for very long without looking suspicious. That and I'm kind of curious what they serve in this place."
