"Aw... there isn't really the climate here for those, unfortunately. I know the ones you're talking about though. They are very dainty and hardy and lovely. Though there are other blue flowers here; I particularly like these bell shaped morning glories, and in the water garden we have some blue iris."
Momiko bent down to smell one of the morning glories, "Mmmm... they're even more fragrant in the spring."

"Oh... um... may I also?" he asks, hesitantly moving up right next to Momiko and kneeling down with her. Assuming her assent for the sake of narrative brevity, Yoshi inhales the sweet aroma, closing his eyes and savoring the moment. When he opens them, he looks over to Momiko with a smile, blushing a little as he finds her face very enticingly close to his, which made sense in retrospect since they'd been smelling the same flower.

Her face is indeed close and she gives him a smile, speaking under her breath, "Thanks for coming; Hope all this pomp and circumstance isn't TOO off putting."
She stands back up straight, "Now, I believe you mentioned before that you wished to see the vegetable garden, Tamori-san?"

Yoshi covertly shakes his head in answer to her quiet statement, having not been put off yet by any measure.
Standing with her, he says, "I'd like that. The water garden you mentioned also sounds really intriguing... if we have time before dinner." Twenty minutes didn't seem all that long to be touring three separate gardens, with as much ground as the mansion likely covered.

Touring the vegetable and water gardens took another twenty minutes or so, and by the time they were done and back in the mudroom, the sun was already on the horizon. They were greeted by the old woman, who once again waited to take Yoshi's shoes. Another servant, a middle aged woman, whispered something to the butler who had been accompanying them, the mustachioed man turning to the two students, "Dinner will be served in the Midori Room in ten minutes, and the Mistress has asked you arrive a little early young miss, Tamori-sama."

"Thank you so much for showing me the gardens," he tells her as they make their way out of the mud room. "I hope we have time after dinner to see more of your beautiful home." Yoshi deftly went through the shoe transition yet again, stepping back into the museum-like hall that led back to the foyer. Of course, he had no clue where the Midori room was. So, he looked to Momiko with a bit of uncertainty, waiting for her to lead the way.

Something she's more than happy to do. Back in her socks she heads back down said hallway with Yoshi before turning to the left rather than continue straight back towards the main hall. From there it's a series of turns until they head through a door and into a room the size of the school gymnasium. At the side opposite the door is a fireplace with a large clock over it, ticking quietly. The main part of the room, though, was a long wooden table with cushions around it, a very old style thing that only came up to their knees.
Momiko turned to Yoshi, "Sit where ever you want on the sides, and I'll sit across from you, okay?"

"Oh... not... next to--," he unintentionally says aloud. Quickly, he continues, "N-no, that... wouldn't be very traditional. Never mind. Thank you." He looks from one end of the long table to the other, trying to determine the best place to sit. Finally, he settles on choosing a spot about halfway between the middle and one of the ends. He'll stand waiting for Momiko to be seated, though, before actually sitting down himself.

Momiko appreciates that, since it's actually traditional to let the guest sit first, and she enjoys the slight look of confusion on the maid's face behind Yoshi. Momiko sits seiza on the cushion, also half way down the table of course.

Once they're both seated, Yoshi leans forward a little to talk to Momiko as quietly as possible as she sits the width of the table away from him.
"Do you know what we're having?" he asks. He's not overly concerned about the menu, just making small talk to fill the time.
