Noboru just sighed from the back of the classroom. He could say it wasn't so for him, but he was already causing enough problems and probably fortunate he didn't wind up in detention or using Aiko's free period to meet with her. So instead? He just 'did his thing' and remained relatively quiet.

"I... ah... hoped to hone more... basic skills of conversation, Mirumoto-sensei," Yoshi admits. "Um... additionally, of course." His eyes dart to Tsuki a moment before finding the floor in embarrassment.

Nade nodded in agreement with Aiko, that's what she was there for. At least initially but now she was having trouble finding the motivation to really get into it. Still this was stuff she wanted to learn so the Unicorn forced herself to sit up properly and pay attention to the lecture, even if she wasn't 100% into it.

"Indeed. Some people have an unfortunate tendency to obscure the truth, by design or mistake." He nods. A nod that might one day be described as sage, but for a youth such as himself it would simply be self assured.

"If not for that, then to simply better know the individual I speak with," Tsuki chimed in from her seat, which was next to Yoshi.

Aiko looks to Tsuki, smiling a little, "An interesting answer. And one that would make a Kitsuki proud."
She looks to the class, "Because yes, these techniques are not just good for getting to the truth of a matter, but for understanding the person you are talking with better as well. Sometimes, why someone is hiding the truth is just as important as what they are hiding. For example, if your friend is hiding something because they are trying to protect you compared to a friend hiding something because they are uncomfortable with the truth can tell you two different things about the nature of the hidden truth."

Yoshi was proud of Tsuki too, even if he was only a Kitsuki by schooling and not name. He was also trying not to be too distracted or filled with pride that she'd chosen the desk next to his own to sit.
"And, by extension, the nature of that friendship," Yoshi adds to Aiko, wanting to show he was paying attention.

Nade simply buried herself in her notebook, scribbling down everything that Aiko said no matter how deeply it dug to the heart of her current problems. She only hoped that the teacher would be too busy teacher to really care that she wasn't really contributing.

Tsuki smile at Aiko and gave her a nod, a bit proud of the compliment received for her response. A nice bonus to the truth of her own answer. As the sensei went on, Tsuki began to take notes, though she offered a small smile to Yoshi as she did so.

"Friends don't hold onto the past, they hold onto each other," came a reply from the back of the room as Noboru kept fingering chords on his guitar. Thankfully he hadn't strummed it, but at least he seemed to be paying attention for once even if he wasn't taking notes.
