The little Phoenix takes up a rod, seemingly completely confused by what's going on at this point.

Mayumi would note that all the hooks look like needles used for sewing. "I am part fish..." Yoko giggled. "Alright, laddies we shall start by putting some bait on the hook." It had just the tiniest hook that will keep the bait in place. " I just want you to see the different species there are in the lake."

She watched and tried to imitate what Yoko was doing. But she felt a little frossed out by the bait. It looked like she was going to say something about Yolo being part fish, then she remembered her mom and brother.

Nade grabbed a piece of bait from the container, bringing it up to her eye to gaze at it for a moment before swiftly spearing it on the needle.
When she notices Mayumi having problems she leans over "Want some help?" and if accepted she repeats the procedure, baiting her roomies hook for her.

"Hai..." she nodded and smiled at Nade. "Arigatou." She carfully picked up the rod. Making sure not to catch the two legged fish.

Nade tossed her line into the water then, making sure to try and land it near some reeds. She wasn't an expert fisherman but she at least knew a few basics, like some fish enjoyed the shade of plants near the shore.
