Kumataro looked over the menu, deciding what to get.
"Man, it's been ages since I actually ate here. Went out for drinks with the guys a few nights ago but that's it."

She nodded, "Hai. They've certainly changed the menu up... used to be a lot of basic Scorpion stuff, traditional really. Now there's a good bit of foreign stuff in here... hm... and I don't even know what some of this is." Akane admits with a chuckle.

Kumataro pointed to something on the menu called a 'kebab'.
"Had it when I went to Medinaat for a show game. They take all kindsa meat and put sauce and spices all over, and then shove it on a stick. It's fuckin' awesome."

"Hey, I've had a kebab before; Remember? I was eating one when we were catching up at that barbecue place. Still, they're definitely new on the menu here. Makes me wonder how they compare..."
She chuckles, looking up at Kuma, "And here I thought you were gonna point to yourself."

A snorting chuckle escaped her nose as Akane turned back to look at the DJ; They were doing a sound check, and it was one of many things right now that were bringing back a flood of memories.
"So you said you never saw me when I was working here then?"

Kumataro shook his head.
"Nah, somehow I didn't. And believe me, I'd have remembered flirting with you if I did. Of course...now that I think about it I didn't really come here that many times in my first year. I think there was the time I almost puked on Kunshu, then that weird meeting with the Crab and Scorpion...and that was it."
Kumataro scratched his chin trying to think of other instances, but came up blank.
"How long did you work here, anyways?"

"Three years; Twice a week. The Lion wouldn't pay for my schooling. And my family certainly wouldn't. And I DEFINITELY wouldn't have qualified for a scholarship with my grades. I was just lucky enough to get into such a prestigious school, despite all that. And have a job I loved that paid enough to take care of tuition."
