Uetani had changed into her formal kimono, and moved this around the room, to give them the space that the ceremony required. She was pleased with the way it had turned out, and was more than sure she would be able to give her friend a good experience Soothing, traditional music played on the radio, not the upbeat modern but calm samisen plucked away. The water boiled on a gas stove, and Uetani waited for Yasuki Tsubasa to appear. |

It didn't take long for the upbeat crab to arrive, slipping into her room before pausing at the threshold to listen to the music for a moment. She couldn't help but bow slightly as she stepped into the makeshift tea house, a wide grin on her face as she deposited her bag near the closet.
"Ohhhh, I feel like I've stepped back in time~ I can already feel the stress melting away~"

"Good" Uetani smiles softly, playing the roll of the tea mistress by keeping more of an on than she usually would in private. "There are some bowls of water in the bathroom, if you wish to cleanse yourself before we begin?"

"Of course M'lady" she murmurs, offering a bow to the esteemed tea mistress before slipping into the bathroom to wash up and cleanse herself properly before the ceremony.
Once she returns she takes a seat next to the table, legs crossed as she watches the practiced movements of her roommate as she prepares the ceremonial tea.

Uetani goes through the ceremony with the girl in the traditional silence. She gives each implement to Basa to inspect, before pouring the tea, and letting it e passed among them. Relaxation through ritual. Tea Ceremony: 6d10o10k4 40It is a fantastic ceremony, calming and replenishing, letting much of the stress of the day slip away. When the thick tea is done, and the formal ceremony comes to a close, Uetani pours thin tea into separate cups, and lifts one to her lips with a satisfied sigh "How has your day been dearest?" |

This wasn't the formal tea ceremony she had been a part of but Uetani did it exquisitely. All the stress of the so far weird day just washed out of her as she took her first slow sip of the tea.
"It has been interesting. I met several interesting people this morning and watched two people nearly get into a fight in Choir Class. I started thinking I should learn to defend myself"

she sips at her tea "I have not had nearly as eventful a day, though a friend invited me to open mic poetry after this"

"Ohh, I suppose I could ask him... though he's one of the ones who almost got into a fight in Singing Class. He can get quite hotheaded though I already knew that talking to him"
Another sip and another sigh of satisfaction at the taste.
"Poetry hmmm? It's not totally my thing but I might show up anyways if you're there. To cheer you on like a good friend would. Though it will be mostly silent cheering~"
