Mayumi starts to get a little teary eyed as Akodo Ichiro leaves her hanging. Her hand slowly lowers.

Ichiro barely catches the meaning of her out stretched pinky and entertwines it with his own giving her an apologetic smile "sorry its been awhile since i've seen any one do this. I sorta forgot what it was."

Her frown turned upside down as he took her pinky. "Its ok." she smiled back at him as she knew he accepted her promise to him. "its soemthing that my daddy told me whenever i make a promise make it a pinky promise. because those must be kept at all times."

"good, it is important to stay true to one's word if you need a pinky promise to dot hat then thats what you do." their pinkys still intertwined he looks at mayumi "you know it wasn't your fault what happened to Fumina-san right? It was a crazy accident no need to kick yourself over it." He was looking her in the eyes at this point a serious look on his face.

Nomen couldn't read lips, so from her shadowy corner of the room all she could see was Ichiro walking up to Uetani...then turning to link fingers with some other girl.
A fist clenched.
Maybe I should remove a digit from his hand one by one until he appreciates the most beautiful girl he has or will ever see instead of stopping to play with weeds

Uetani thank all her well wishers, giving Ichiro a peck on the cheek and a deep bow to Noboru before going to sit with Nomen
"I didn't mean that you had to stay now. I know this is not really your scene"
She keeps her voice low so as not to draw attention to the two of them

Nomen pouted. "You know what you did" she said as she sat on Uetanis lap "shot my defenses down with my one weakness, you sly rose. Now I can't leave you."

Ichiro withdrew from Mayumi and watched as Uetani approached Nomen. As much as he wanted to go and be with her she seemed comfortable already and he had no intention of crowding her. He pulled out from the main group and sort of posted up in a spot away from the main group and sort didn't stare but stayed aware of the pair. Afterall he was pretty much only here Uetani.
