"Well, that and I don't think we could fit the expanded group here," he says, pointing out the practical consideration. "But it's more the advice part, yes. Sorry if you seem to be doing this for us a lot."
"I suppose since Yoshi-san over there let the cat out of the bag, I'll ask first. Probably less complicated." He takes a sip of his water, stirring his noodles with his chopsticks. "I have no idea if I'm dating Mirumoto Ryuha-senpai. I mean, I think we are? But that might be because we spend a lot of time together. And I get the impression I'm the only one she spends any significant time with."
"And asking her might scare her off. I'm kind of walking on eggshells around her, since even just complimenting her too much scares her off."

Hinata munched on some noodles, thinking about what Kobushi said. It was always a bit difficult to determine what the boy was trying to say; he was sometimes so direct that he looped back around into sounding like a Togashi.
"It is difficult to say. Have you asked her why she gets so nervous yet?"

Nade preferred the blunt approach in almost everything she did.
"Do you have her phone number or email? I'll ask her if she likes you"
and when that inevitably gets shot down
"Well, here's a question Kobushi-kun. Do you like her? Do you enjoy spending time with her and do you want to spend more time with her? You'll need to sort out your own feelings because you can work on hers"

"I did," he answers. "There's...a very good reason she's trying to avoid becoming attached to anyone. But it's also deeply personal, so I don't think she'd appreciate me talking about it. That she didn't run out on me a second time kind of surprises me."
While he doesn't exactly shoot down Nade's approach, it does make him do something impressive. Choke on water. He visibly becomes more comfortable at the next set of questions.
"I...I do," he admits. "Enjoy spending time with her, I mean. And want to spend more time with her. I'm making her a porcelain doll, and I'm terrified of working with porcelain. I think...I think she's beautiful. And strong. And probably a lot nicer to me than she has any right to be, given her situation." A pause. One might be tempted to imagine a dim bulb lights up in his head. "I do like her."

Ancestors have mercy, Hinata knew that better than anyone.
"However, if she was willing to share it with you, I think it at least means she trusts you deeply. Since it seems like you accepted it, doubly so. I would not be at all surprised if she liked you in a romantic fashion too, but I cannot say for sure. I am not her."

You said you were making a porcelain doll which is really neat but is there something else she likes? Do you know any of her friends that you might ask?"

"I think that's possible," he admits to the Kuni. He dabbles in some noodles before he continues. "Or she's just tired of being alone. She didn't have any friends before she asked me to punch her in the dojo days ago," he admits, rather sheepishly.
Then he turns to Nadeshiko. He tries to forget that she's cute, and is having only minimal difficulty with it. "I actually don't know much about her. I know we both plan to go to Clear Water in the summer. And visit where she grew up after," he says, perhaps not realizing that such a trip was probably significant. "And the only person I know of that would know her would be her cousin, Isawa Kikiri-san. Who is making the clothes for the doll, since it was her idea."
"I'm not making much sense, am I?"

Nade tugged out a notebook from somewhere, one of her schools abilities was to have infinite notebooks, and secretly passes it to Yoshi under the table along with a pen.
"Kobushi-Kun, I need you to look at me very carefully. She likes you. She's invited you back to her HOUSE to meet her PARENTS. Your job now is to finish the doll, get the clothes and give it to her while asking her "Would you like to get lunch with me?" and if that works you end that with "Would you like to see a movie with me sometime?" and hopefully by that point you two will have it figured out enough to keep going."

"The movie thing doesn't always work, though... at least, not initially," Yoshi adds absently from experience as he takes the notebook and quickly write down all the girls' advice up to this point. He's not sure if all the head trauma affected Kobushi's memory at all, but he isn't taking any chances.
