While Utaku Hisui was never much of an investigator, but she understood strange things. She had to interpret more than one omen or cryptic remark in her day. The whole Goemon business bothered her. While she was willing to officially cede authority over it to Aiko, she felt she could contribute. After all, her area of expertise was puzzling this sort of thing out. Suspecting that the temples in the campus were tapped of all useful information, she headed out to one of the other temples in the city. She chose one nearby, hoping to find new information that could shed light on what was coming. She did not go alone, bringing Kuni Hinata, Horiuchi Nadeshiko for their magical gifts. As a precaution, she also asked Ichiro Priya to join them. One never knew what dangers one might encounter. She stands nearby, waiting for the students to arrive. |

Priya was there, in heavy biker leathers instead of armour, her daisho at her side. They were heading out, her diasho had its peaceknot removed. She was ready to defend these people with her life if needed. This was real samurai stuff, and Priya was ready to perform.
She bows to the others, trying not to smile. Trying to be the serious person she knew that she should right now, but she was excited... Ready for action.

Hinata, on the other hand, had no trouble being serious. Indeed, she often had trouble looking not serious when circumstances called for it. Fortunately (or unfortunately), this was one such situation where her dour demeanor was fitting. She looked at her friend Priya and nodded.
"Thank you for coming along, Priya-chan. I hope you will not take offense when I say I hope you are not needed, though."

Nadeshiko showed up shortly after Hinata, still lugging the duffel bag from earlier at lunch. She had changed however, into something a lot more Pink. It turns out her version of serious is a lot different than the others but does she seem embarassed? not at all. "Sensei, Hinata-chan, uhh... " she racks her brain for a moment "Ichiro-san! I hope I didn't keep you all waiting. I was hanging out with Mako and she made it hard to leave as usual. Are we all ready to Investigate!?" |

Hinata looked at Nadeshiko, skepticism plain on her face.
"...why are you in costume?"
Hinata was not offended, just...surprised. ...Nadeshiko was her best friend but she was also incredibly weird. Maybe that was part of why, actually.

Hinata crossed her arms and looked at the ground, thinking.
"Well, I was thinking of starting by communing with the local earth kami. Preferably the ones that made up the statue, if they are still here. They may be angry, though. Earth kami do not like to be disturbed, and a statue breaking...well, that is a disturbance to say the least."
She then looked at Hisui.
"Ultimately, though, any larger plan is up to Hisui-sensei here."

"Well, I figured if we were going to be detectives! and there's 4 of us. We should go in uniform so we look a lot cooler" Nade grinned and unzipped her duffle bag then, revealing a rainbow of colours within as she pulls out the green outfit and holds it out in front of her for Hinata.
"I figured you would look great in green. I have blue for Hisui-sensei and for Ichiro-san I have yellow! It comes with cute short shorts too. They should all fit fairly well."
Yep, she had been carrying around these costumes for the better part of a day, just waiting for this moment.
"However, I'd totally understand if you don't wanna. It's not for everyone and I guess it can look a bit weird."

Hinata looked over the costume and frowned, feeling conflicted. On the one hand, this was hardly the time or place for cosplay. On the other hand, Nadeshiko seemed so excited about it that Hinata would feel bad saying no. Ultimately, though, she had to let her friend know where her limits were, just like in any relationship.
"Nadeshiko-chan, I am sorry, but I do not want to wear that. At least not here. I would happily try on costumes with you later, though."
Hinata paused for a moment, a little twinge of guilt hitting her. Perhaps she had been too blunt.
"...I suppose I can wear the hat though."
