Hinata nodded and took a deep breath.
"Right. Let us begin."
She then headed into the temple as well, and looked at the statue.
"What do you all think? Should we put it back together before calling upon the kami? Priya-chan's idea is a good one, I think."

"Agreed, Hinata-san."
She steps back to let Priya make the attempt. Her camera is out to take pictures of everything.

When Priya lifts the pieces and tries to reassemble them back into place, they just fall right back apart. Like the statue in the temple at the school, as they slide around each other, no residue chunks off or breaks apart. The breaks in the stone are clean, as if they were four different pieces of rock that happened to be in the shape of a man's body parts.
A bit of physics would explain why they couldn't stay together as well (based on the angles of the breaks and the locations), but seeing as most agreed this was something supernatural a skilled artisan may not even be able to repair the statue.

"Well... I am out of ways for heavy lifting to solve this problem"
She steps back to allow the priestesses to do their work, ready to fight for them if need be"

"Wait...I have an idea. ...it may be a bit of a mad one but I am a Kuni. Do you think you could hold them together? I am going to see if I can get the earth kami in the statue to mend back together."

"Good thinking" she hefts the prices back into position, holding them in place

"Alright..."
Hinata took a deep breath, hoping this was not going to result in something terrible. She began praying to the earth kami under her breath, and began to move her hands through the motions of casting a spell, asking the kami in the statue to mend back together.
(( What is the roll I should make for this? If spellcasting, does the club bonus apply to spellcasting or just spellcraft? ))

(OOC: I don't think their is a spell per se that does this effect, at least that I know off the top of my head, but we will just call it a Summon Earth Spell to get the kami to try and mend it. Club bonus only applies to skill checks though, not spellcasting rolls - which uses your Insight Rank/Ring rather than spellcraft)

With Priya holding the pieces in place, Hinata is able to summon enough of the earth kami to get the statue to mend back together somewhat. It isn't a perfect job, and looks somewhat lopsided, but it is repaired. At least for a moment...
Perhaps no more than half a minute after the statue of Goemon is reassembled, in an instant it falls apart again. The chunks of stone don't slide or move, they just... appear back where the group found them, with a loud crashing sound that doesn't damage the floor.
