"Don't be, silly. I just don't want you hurt, if I can help it." The Prince gave her hand a small squeeze, blushing a little. Maybe it was a bit of an old fashioned way to feel, but it was how he felt nonetheless. It was natural for a boyfriend to want to protect his girlfriend. Right? He turns his attention back to the sink, beginning to scrub the pan clean.
"It's... it is my job to protect you."

Hinata was silent for a few moments, then nodded.
"Of course. I understand, just...please do not do anything stupid on my behalf, okay? I can take care of myself if needed. And there are some things I may need to protect you from as well."
Her tone was gentle, but she hoped she made her point clear. She did not want to be coddled.

"Y-yeah. I understand."
Yoshinobu began to scrub the dish in silence then, cleaning off the burnt egg and any scorch marks, focusing on the task before him.

Hinata frowned. A little needle of pain shot through her heart as she realized she had upset him in some way. She walked over to him and hugged him gently, planting a light kiss on his cheek.
"We can take care of eachother, alright? We're a team."

"You're right," Yoshinobu said, sighing but offering Hinata a half smile in agreement.
"We are. Sorry... we'll both look out for each other. Then his tone became jesting again. "You really know how to wound a guy's pride right? And here I was offering to be your yojimbo."

Hinata grinned, happy that she seemed to have dragged him back out of his brief down.
"Well, you're the one that challenged a thunder to a duel. Maybe your pride needs a bit of tempering, neh?" she jested before kissing him again.
"Not too much, though. I like confidence."

"I think it's been been tempering long enough. Probably needs to be quenched now." Yoshinobu smiled again, like a goofball this time.
"Alright, I guess we can start om the bacon now. Do you like yours crispy or chewy?"

"Crispy. What about you?"

"We're opposites again here. I like mine really chewy." He took his now empty egg pan and placed all of the bacon in it before setting it back on the stove.
"This time I'll watch you, alright? Just let the bacon sizzle for a little bit, then give it a flip. And watch out for the grease popping when you turn it. Oh, and something else you need to keep in mind too. The bacon will keep cooking for a minute or so even after you take it out of the pan." He handed her back the long cooking chopsticks, and got a plate and some paper towels ready to receive the food when it was done.

"Right. Well, I'll be sure to cook yours less crispy then."
Hinata smiled and began watching the bacon sizzle, following Yoshinobu's instructions. She was a bit better at this; bacon did not get stuck to the pan, after-all. She flipped it and got some little pinpricks of grease leaping up to hit her hand, but nothing serious. After about a minute or so, she took some of the bacon off and put it on the plate.
"And there's yours. Huh, I managed not to mess that up!"
She looked at the pan.
"Now just not to mess mine up..."
