Hinata was always punctual, and thus she wasted no time in making her way to the woods during lunch. She waited just outside of them, and sent a text to Horiuchi Nadeshiko, Daidoji Kobushi, Tamori Yoshi, Koshiro, and Akodo Ichiro telling them where she was, and to meet her there. She had also brought along a picnic rug and a basket. If nothing interesting was actually found, maybe they could have a nice lunch in the woods. |

Nade showed up a few minutes after Hinata and while she was dressed in her school uniform she had added a shawl and a deerstalker cap to her ensemble to mimic the great Sherlock Holmes. She also carried a backpack with several things extruding from the pockets and a large bag filled with plastic bento boxes.
"Hinata-Chan! Thanks for coming. I just heard the rumour this morning but this is going to be cool. The last time I was in the woods I killed an owl."

Kobushi eventually arrives, carrying his lunch and plenty more water than he should need. He'd been on exploration trips like this before, and water was always a major concern. He wasn't sure how how long they were going to be busy, but he thought he'd prepare for all of them just in case.
And then he hears about the owl. That struck him as odd, but he doesn't prod it.
"Hi," he says, greeting appropriately.

Hinata blinked in surprise, and her expression became a little bit concerned.
"...an owl? Why?"

Ichiro approaches the slowly gathering group excited to be working on another mystery even if it wasn't crime or crime fighting related. Haunted woods seemed like a pretty gnarly adventure. He approached in sturdy boots and jeans with a simple shirt and a pack on his back containing a simple lunch a bit of water.
"Hey guys hope you all are doing will. Thank you for inviting me Nadeshiko-san" he said with a bow.

Yoshi arrives in short order as well. He's still wearing his school uniform, rather than any sort of adventuring gear, but he is wearing his jacket against the chill of the morning that was only just subsiding, and brought his backpack as well, inside which is a first aid kit which he took from the Boys' Dorms' supply of extra such items the previous evening. He's also brought his lunch along in a to-go box from the cafeteria. Not ever one to see all recipients of a mass text, he's slightly but not unpleasantly surprised to find his room mate among those gathered.
"Afternoon... everybody," Yoshi says, giving them each a bow. He notices Nadeshiko's overstuffed and cosplaying, appearance and gives her a smile. Thumbing over his shoulder at his backpack, he tells her, "I brought a first aid kit, just in case." He wonders if they're eating before or after heading out, but he waits for Nadeshiko to take the lead and explain the itinerary.

Koshiro soon appears as well, hands grasping his schoolbag straps, sandwich in mouth. He simply bows to all present, unable to say much with his mouth filled with his lunch.

"Koshiro-san, it's good to see you again!" Yoshi says at the ronin's arrival, giving him a bow and broad smile. It's perhaps a bit out of turn, but he doesn't care. He wants their somewhat estranged friend to feel welcome, despite any lingering danger of an Otomo's reprisal. Here in the dark and dirty woods, they were unlikely to find a high born courtier or any of her agents lurking to spy upon them.

"Itsh goosh tf chh yugh tuu." One might understand Koshiro's reply as 'it's good to see you too.' Which is what he said. Though, with a mouth full of sandwich, one might have heard or understood it differently, however they might have heard it as.

Hinata greeted everyone as they arrived, but actually smiled once she saw Koshiro. The boy had told her to be wary of him, but it was nice that he had come all the same.
"Koshiro-san, it is good to see you again. Though you...may not want to speak with your mouth full."
