The water kami reveal the image of the great battle that took place here, in the dark of the night. A Crane bushi, a Mantis shugenja-ko, and a sohei of the former Order of the Spider were in a fierce skirmish with a gaki spirit that resembled a pale, spectral lion. It lashed out at them all, the fight lasting no more than a minute before it was over. The Crane cut through the beast with his sword in order to protect the shugenja, and it fell and faded from Ningendo. None of them fell, and before the scene shifted it focused on the sohei's bisento...
Before fading to another time, early in the morning. The blade of the bisento was plunged into the earth. Sake was poured over it in what was now effectively a grave, an act of respect, as no man should face the afterlife without a good drink. The same Crane from before was the one who poured it, before taking a drink of his own and setting the bottle down, a memento.

Koshiro nods and thanks the water kami before looking to the others. "It appears the bisento is safe. The gaki resembled a ghostly lion, and it was felled by the combined efforts of a trio here, a Crane bushi, a Mantis shugenja-ko, and a Spider monk. The bisento belonged to the Spider monk, this is his resting place some time after the gaki was felled, the sake bottle was a final drink and a memento from the Crane bushi." He stands up, stretching a bit from having to crouch that long. "Probably best to leave it maybe, it is a warrior's gravestone after all."

Nade pulled away from the weapon and glanced around the clearing. She started collecting rocks then, ensuring they were roughly of equal size. She started to place them in front of the Bisento then in the shape of a Spider mon.
"We will leave the weapon here but we should leave some momento so that in the future people who come will know what this is and give it the respect it deserves."

Hinata nodded, and joined Nadeshiko in gathering rocks to create the mon.
"So, not as much of a mystery as we were hoping for, but...that is probably a good thing."

"Maybe we can do more than just leave the stones, though?" Yoshi suggests to Hinata and Nadeshiko. "Perhaps we can petition to the Administration to put up something official... like a memorial... or at least some signs... that indicate what happened here. We might even be able to contact the Mantis and Crane... if they survived the war. Were they just students then, Koshiro, did you see? Perhaps they feared the evil would linger, so they meant to keep it secret. But if it's safe now...." He looks to the lone teacher present, Bokaru, for his opinion too.

"Also we can do more by taking his weapon and using it." Ichiro says his voice serious "If this was his weapon than it should be used as a weapon, used and properly attended to. It isn't too far gone and can easily be put back in top shape."

"Agreed. A weapon should be put to use, maybe to fight off more evils like the one this monk faced here," Kobushi chimes in, looking at the thing in the ground. It almost feels to him like facing his own mortality. "But maybe we should take a look at the school records first before we build a proper memorial? See who the monk was, so his name is remembered."

Bokaru nodded to Yoshi. "Your prudence is admirable. However I doubt it should be an issue though it is troubling that the influence is still being felt and that there is still this much death. I believe we are safe right now, I will sit and meditate and commune with the earth kami and see what we can do to heal the land. As for the shrine it may be something the school can do but I can take it to the principal and ask him if you would like?"

"I will finish setting up something small right now and then we can work on something bigger. As for the weapon? I think it would be a good plan to take it.... I will ensure it is properly cleaned and taken care of and then we can place it in the Dojo as a sign of respect for its great nature?"
Nade looks up at the small group.
"If that works for everyone? then we can have lunch~"
