"Well, the one about me is pretty much your usual distorted truth. Me and Akodo Ichiro-san did hit each other pretty hard, but it left out that it was something else entirely that beat us up. And that it was a spar. It didn't turn into an argument until Otomo-sensei convinced us we were insulting each other's Honor."

"Because I distracted her from speaking with Kuni Hinata-san at the party, I guess," he says, it being the only explanation he could come up with that made any sense, given what he knew of the Otomo. "Not that I was any good at it. She kept getting past me somehow."

"You...sound like you know her?" he asks, not judgmental. He considers Priya a friend, and in his mind, that outweighs the fact that the Otomo is a threat to him and his other friends. "If that's what you really think, I'll be sure to pass word along to my friends. But I can't make any promises they'll believe it."
