Ichiro chuckled a bit "no offense to Ryudo-sensei but if she finds you boring she must be a bit baka." He said chuckling "all joking aside she is a good sensei in her area she taught me a bit of dancing a couple days ago. As for you and Doji-sensei I would never ask anything of you, I plan on winning her approval all on my own." There was a small pause and a grin "but I always go in with as many advantages on my side as I can."

"Oh, she doesn't. I doubt we'd have been friends this long if she thought I was boring," she answers with a smirk. "And good of you to think that way, Akodo-san. Spoken like a true tactician. I would know. I used to consider those things before my...forced withdrawal from military duty."

"Well I'm glad you approve, though I've never been much of a tactician despite my family. It's one of my father's greatest disappointments. I prefer the front lines of battle to see my enemy 3ft away, not as pieces on strategy board. I was made for battle not for command."

"Not all tacticians serve in tents from the back," she points out. "I was a field tactician in the war. My job was to advise the officers with boots on the ground how best to carry out orders from the ones in the tents. But, as you say, you might simply be built more for executing orders than figuring out how they are carried out."

Ichiro nodded "yup sounds like Seppun-sensei. He also teaches military tactics and has a fairly interesting approach to it." Ichiro stretched in his seat the waiting was beginning to get to him.

The waiting was starting to get to the Utaku as well. Or was it something else that made her looks suspiciously at every dark corner and shadow?

"Is everything ok sensei? You seem like you're feeling a bit on edge." Ichiro had seen this behavior in veterans before but it could just be restlessness. He wasn't a Kuni psychologist so he wasn't going to presume.
