Hinata stood outside the girl's dorms, umbrella held over her head to keep away the rain. Iweko Yoshinobu had agreed to send a servant to pick her up as they had discussed this morning, since it would be unwise to drive the moped in the rain. As she waited, she held a few fingers out to the drizzle, admiring how they looked and felt on her skin. Rain simply did not happen in the wastes, all the water kami had been driven away. This gave the current weather a sort of novel effect, at least to her. To see the kami at work, performing the dance that kept nature going...it was beautiful. Times like this made it easier to live in the present. Watching the rain drops fall in the glow of street lamps, she felt fully at peace for perhaps the first time in days as she waited to see her boyfriend again. For now, it seemed like everything was going to be okay.

Eventually a fairly nondescript looking black car pulls up to the girls dorm and stops in front of Hinata, the window rolling down. She might have been expecting a Seppun or someone of the sort, but instead it is Yoshinobu in the driver's seat, no servants in sight. He's the only one in the car, and smiling his normal doofy smile.
"Figured I'd come get you myself. Since Mother is out of town, she doesn't really need her 'get around town without being noticed' car." He paused, motioning to the open side of the car. "You ready?"

Hinata grinned. Well, this was a pleasant surprise. She wasted no time getting in the other seat and buckling in, putting her umbrella in the back.
"Does she normally let you drive this car?"

"Normally? No, but I hardly have a normal family. Honestly, it is easier than driving a moped. Even in the rain," Yoshinobu replied, turning his attention back to the front now that Hinata was inside and buckled up.
"The Seppun weren't exactly happy, but what can they really do? I'll apologize to them tomorrow."

Hinata chuckled.
"Disobeying the empress? Sounds like treason to me" she said, her tone obviously joking.

"Not the Empress... she never said not to drive her car while she was away," Yoshinobu jested back as he started driving.
"Some of the Seppun miharu asked me nicely not to leave with her car, but I told them I wouldn't be gone long, so they reluctantly gave in."

Hinata grinned.
"I wonder if they'll tell on you."

"I am sure they will, and I very may well get an ear-full from Father or Mother. Better than having to explain to them that I was having servants picking you up and bringing you to the palace, probably. Either way they will probably feel a need to scold me."

"Well that...hardly seems fair, what would be wrong with sending a servant to do it?"

"Nothing wrong with that part - knowing my parents it would be the more 'having you over' side of the situation. If the press focused on the issue it might bring your family and mine undue attention. And I'm not a fan of the whole disguise you to get you in plan when you could just be driven in more subtly."
He briefly glanced over to her direction as they came to a stop light. "I just drove so we could spend more time together, Hinata. They'd not chastise the servants, it would all fall on me instead."
