Hinata followed him, and opened her umbrella to put it over him. She looked over to him, smirking playfully.
"Sorry to ruin the dramatic moment, but we can't have the Prince catching a cold."
She then looked out to the palace as well, admiring it.
"...it is rather beautiful though, isn't it?"

Yoshinobu put his arm around Hinata after she sheltered him, smiling at her softly.
"Ah, gomen. I suppose I got lost in my thoughts." He paused, looking back out over the gardens and to the city at large. It was dark, but there were mountains looming in the distance and the shadow as well. The lights of buildings further off downtown could be seen from here. "It is, yes. The whole city, the palace, everything."
He squeezed her against him, to demonstrate she was just as beautiful.

Hinata smiled and rested her head on his shoulder, sighing contentedly. No matter how many times they may get to share this view, be it only now or over a lifetime, all that mattered was the present moment. She felt...safe, and warm; for the first time in days, she fully believed everything would be okay. She stayed like that for a while, leaning against her boyfriend and looking out over the country she may one day rule. Even if she did not, she at least had a newfound appreciation for living in it. Eventually, however, she looked to Yoshinobu again.
"...this is lovely, but perhaps we should go speak with Kuni Sango-san now. Hopefully if we talk with her we can share this view many more times."

Yoshinobu looked back down to Hinata, patting her gently.
"If you wish to speak with Sango-san, that is something you must do on your own. If you would like, I can guide you to her office and await you in my quarters." His smile was reassuring, though he would love for nothing more than to be there for Hinata when she talked with the Imperial Nakodo. However this part of the process his was her trial to bear, and hers alone.

Hinata frowned, but nodded. He could not be with her when she talked to the Nakodo. That was saddening, but it made sense.
"Of course. I am sure I can handle it."

"Come on," Yoshinobu said softly, leading Hinata away from the courtroom. The Seppun guard bows again as they leave, closing the doors behind them once more as the Prince takes her up a few more flights of stairs.
"I can't be there with you, but I can give you some advice perhaps. Anything you want to ask before we get there and you go in?"

"A few."
Hinata hesitated before asking the first one.
"What should I say about the star charts? Should I tell her why they appeared as they were?"

"She will likely find out eventually. Being open and honest may be the best approach, but you will need to read the flow of the conversation and decide for yourself. If you do, let her know you have already spoken with your family."

Hinata nodded.
"Alright. If you think she'll understand, I'm not worried. My only other question is if I should ask for suggestions about how to marry you. Would that be too forward?"

"How?" Yoshinobu smirked, catching her meaning. "Well, we go to a shrine... get a shugenja to reside over us and have the kami bless the marriage..."
He shakes his head, slightly amused with himself. "But seriously, her job is to be impartial. She may help you with other things as a Kuni, but you might insult her if you ask her to help give you an edge just because she is your cousin."
