Aiko eases herself on to the side of the hot spring, looking up at the sky as she lets out a contented sigh. She closes her eyes, just enjoying the warmth of the water, clearly just happy to have a chance to unwind for the first time in days. After all, things have been rather tense of late and sometimes, one just needs a moment of quiet to relax.

Hinata was looking forward to a nice soak in the hot springs. It had been a while since she had the free time to do so, and fortunes knew she needed it after the events of the past week. Maybe she would get lucky and have the hot springs to herself; that would be nice. She could not expect that, though. Indeed, when she entered the springs, she found herself joining Aiko.
...Mirumoto Aiko. Right. Dragon Thunder. No doubt she was highly loyal to her clan, and thus potentially involved in this whole race for the throne. It was best to be cautious.
"Good evening, Mirumoto-sensei" she greeted the teacher. The icy indifference of her tone contrasted with the warm water as she lowered herself in.

"Ah. Kuni Hinata-san, have you had rice today?" Aiko replies, warmly and openly. Of course, Hinata is probably unaware of the fact that Aiko would probably be more in favor of Hinata's courtship of the prince over her own clan's candidate, mostly because Romance.

"I have indeed been so blessed," Aiko replies.

"Good to hear."
Hinata sat silent for a while. Eventually, it began to feel awkward. It always felt awkward when there were two people in the same place saying nothing. ...maybe she could just have a conversation with Aiko that did not involve the throne. She liked Aiko, she was nice, and a hero besides. Politics did not have to come up if they were not brought up.
"So...what have you been up to?" she asked a bit awkwardly.

"Mmm. Nothing too interesting," Aiko replies, saying absolutely nothing about the thing she is involved in, because fuck getting more students involved.

If Aiko was lying, Hinata certainly could not tell. Perhaps whatever Aiko had been up to was very interesting, but she imagined that not much could be interesting compared to fighting Fu Leng.
"Ah. Well, that is a shame to hear. ...or a blessing, I suppose. Interesting does not mean good."

"Mhm. It is sometimes better to have a quiet day, with which to recover one's strength, than another interesting one," Aiko observes.

Hinata breathed a sigh.
"Agreed. I have had far too few of those lately."
