"Affect Ningen-do with minor wishes?" Hisui asks out loud, pondering the implications. "Define 'minor,' Moto-san. And would the changes last once the intersecting is over?" "Small things, simple little changes. It could be as easy as changing that failed test to a pass, to even affecting the path's a life might have taken. Maybe even fixing a problem or achieving a goal faster than desired," Ayumu explained with strong certainty. "And any person, or worse group, who made such a wish could potentially defy the very Celestial Order," Noboru grunted from the back of the auditorium, loud enough for everyone to hear. "I mean, imagine someone wishing simply for something as chaotic as democracy or enough people wishing away an entire family or clan." He then looked away in disgust, quickly adding, "Even something as foolish as wishing a dead sibling were returned. What would the repercussions of such actions be? After all, everything has to exist in balance, hai? Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it." The Moto laughed at the Mirumoto's distrust, easily brushing that away. "Come on now, you are always so intense when it comes to things that bother you. It's nothing that crazy. those are huge in scope, and I did say minor wishes," She shot him a grin, "And definitely not a monkey's paw. It'll come true, no celestial defiance attached. Things will work out just in different ways." "I would normally ask how you came to the conclusions you did Moto Ayumu-san, daughter of Lady Moto Naleesh," the Prince fully introduced, having recognized the girl - he had no clue she was even at this school. "However, your own training and its nature would likely reveal the path you have taken towards this conclusion. You say Goemon is asleep? Others have told me he is in trouble." He nodded to Noboru, seemingly in agreement with the Dragon. "How would we even make such wishes anyways? We are not fortunes. We are normal people living in Ningen-do." Ayumu looked to the prince and gave him a bow, before quickly giving into a small bit of sheepish laughter. Guess she couldn't keep that part hidden forever. "Yep, Goemon is asleep. He's around here somewhere, but you will likely know him as the Rakugo teacher. He's not so much in trouble as he's just sleeping." So many questions to answer! "As for how the wishes are made, well, that's actually pretty easy. I can control dreams, in a way. It has to be Lucid, like we are right now, but I was born with the talent. I could affect how the dream goes and even change events in simple ways. Honestly, I've had a lot of time to think as I kept dreaming these school days and I have to say, everyone here has something they want or could use," Ayumu answered, here eyes falling each and every person present, her eyes betraying just how much she knew about them, their past, their desires, their flaws, and even their curses.

Ryoko just listened as she moved closer to Priya and Mako, the little Phoenix still a good bit asleep as she tried to make heads or tails of what the crazy Moto woman was going on about.

Nishikawa finally spoke up once more, a nonplussed expression on his face.
"Ikoma-sensei? What? Moto-san... you use the term lucid. Are we in a dream right now?" And for that matter, does everyone here even exist?

And for that matter, does everyone here even exist?Ayumu sat back down and leaned back in her seat a tad bit too casually. "Yep. All of this," She motioned in a wide arc, "Is a dream. But it won't matter to much. Once the realms are done intersecting, we'll have off the dreamland express and right back into reality."

Hisui decided to sit down, finding a quiet spot near Fuyuko. To sit. To think.
Things bothered her. The Seals of Jigoku were broken long ago. If that was what caused the imbalance and for the Spirit Realms to intersect, then how long had this process been going on? Was it only now? The past few days? Longer?
As she pondered the Moto's answer, she realized she had nothing that would fit. What she wanted most was beyond the scope Ayumu described. What the wish could grant, the small nudges that changed the course of a life, had already been done. Even if Yume-do's influence set Fuyuko right into her path, it didn't matter. What she felt was real, not just a dream. She was sure of that.
So she concludes only one thing. "I have no one to wish for that I don't already have."
Then that last part. She sighs and turns to the Crane. "I'll find you when I wake, then."

"And what happens if Goemon is woken up?" the Prince asked next, feeling he already knew what the answer might be. As far as he was concerned that was the right thing to do, but...
"If we aren't really here, what are we doing in Ningen-do?"

Noboru just peered at Ayumi, not really sure how to process this or the fact he'd helped the daughter of the Unicorn Clan Champion find some texts that could help her research what was going on. Either way, the Dragon just sighed a bit. He was right in the library: this was well beyond his ken. Even then he knew the things he could wish for were things that he shouldn't, even if they were possible.
"Moto-sama," at least he used the proper honorific this time, now knowing her station, "could you give an example of something minor?"

Well. That was certainly not the answer he expected things to be. Koshiro facepalms. "Really? That is, like, the most cliche plot twist ever. 'It was all a dream'. Seriously?" he mumbles to himself. Then... it hits him. He looks up slowly towards the Unicorn with the answers.
"Wait... does that mean... I could raise my mother's ship out from beneath the lake now by wishing it? Could I wish for the Salty Goblin to be restored at this moment?"

"Moto-sama," at least he used the proper honorific this time, now knowing her station, "could you give an example of something minor?" Ayumu placed her hands behind her head and thought for a moment, tongue sticking out just a tiny bit. "Well... I think if I recall, you wanted some missing evidence for a case right? That's something that could easily be made to happen. "Wait... does that mean... I could raise my mother's ship out from beneath the lake now by wishing it? Could I wish for the Salty Goblin to be restored at this moment?" The Moto nodded quickly, her hair tossing about with the wild gesture. "Yep. Could even have it restored to perfect shape and condition. Like it never sank before. So she concludes only one thing. "I have no one to wish for that I don't already have." Then that last part. She sighs and turns to the Crane. "I'll find you when I wake, then." "Really? There's no old battle wound that you wouldn't want a one hundred percent success rate in recovering?" Ayumu asked almost rhetorically. She sat forward a bit and that casual demeanor became a tad more serious. "I wouldn't be so sure, Utaku-sensei." "And what happens if Goemon is woken up?" the Prince asked next, feeling he already knew what the answer might be. As far as he was concerned that was the right thing to do, but... "If we aren't really here, what are we doing in Ningen-do?" Moto Ayumu leaned back in her seat as her features scrunched up a bit. That was a big question to ask. "Well... if he wakes up then the dream ends. All of it. What you achieved, the people you met, the connections you made, all of it will be gone like that." She snapped her fingers to emphasize the point. "And there's no guarantee that's what's happening in Ningen-do. The dream made everything easy and you can also lay some of the thanks at my feet as well. Friendships, goals, personal desires, all of it. The stuff everyone has done here doesn't line up in any shape with Ningen-do. In fact, how things happen over there may not even follow the same route here. Reality isn't so nice as a dream." She grinned again, a sign of sure confidence back on her features. "Of course, that's only if you wake up Goemon. Don't, and the realms will mingle back, things will sort them out, with a helping hand, and you keep it all plus a parting gift."

Koshiro's eyes were open wide at this. He goes forward and bows towards the Moto. "Then please. Make it so. I wish for the Salty Goblin to be restored to its former glory."
