"That isn't as minor as you think it is, Moto-sama," Noboru offers with a suspicious glance. "Nor am I Kitsuki-trained. Plus you make it sound like these things go away when the Fortune of Heroes wakes."
The Mirumoto just sighed, head shaking slowly, glancing to Hisui briefly, then looking to Ayumu. "Some of these things make us who we are, Moto-san. Others are what drive us, for better or worse. How..." He shook his head again, "How meaningless would it all be if we could wish certain things away or wish certain things happen and they just did? I mean, how would it sound to a magistrate or a local governor if I brought them testimony of a crime and when asked 'how did you come about this?' my answer is 'I wished for it.'?"

"Wishes granted...?"
Hinata's voice wavered as she looked at Yoshinobu, saying nothing. She needed to talk to Ayumu along with him. Maybe this was the solution to their problems.

Fuyuko listens to this calmly, a stern expression on her face. As Hisui whispers to her she moves to give her a squeeze of her hand. "You, Uetani-san. If this is a dream I will find you both when I wake. I swear." It made a strange amount of sense. Too much sense. She wanted nothing more then to live in this dream but...
"And what of those who are not here? Are we absent from them? Asleep? How does the Fortune's slumber affect them. How does the fortunes slumber affect us. I am ...afraid that when I wake I will lose memory of what I have accomplished here, but I fear more that my selfishness may condemn the actual Rokugon to being without heroes."

"If this does all go away if Ikoma-san... if Goemon-dono wakes," Tetsuko pauses, her visage shifting into a threatening glare, "then we are not, under any circumstances, waking him up."
The girl stands up. "Everything we've worked for, everything we've done, gone? Just like that? I don't know about the rest of you, but I fought long and hard for the things I have accomplished, and I will keep fighting to hold onto them. As long as I can."

Fuyuko’s concerns mirrored Yoshi’s own, and as Moto Ayumu seemed to be the one with all the answers, he turns to her as well.
“It... seems like you’re saying that if we don’t wake the Fortune, reality and the dream, Ningen-do and Yume-do, will eventually align and we will live our true lives with all of this intact including wishes we might make now,” he says to the Unicorn woman.
“However," he continues, "I worry I’m misunderstanding, and are you also saying there are no consequences for making that choice? Like Do... erm... Hida-san just said, I don’t want to lose everything I’ve gained here, but I don’t want to continue living trapped in a dream or, like Doji-sensei said, leave the Heavens or Ningen-do to suffer just for my own benefit.” He fights back the tears as he considers sacrificing his friendships, his love, and his own personal growth for the sake of a greater good.

Yoshinobu shook his head; his word carried influence, but when dreams were mentioned and the warping of realities? They probably mattered little. After all, Ayumu had just confirmed he wasn't even himself. He wasn't Yoshinobu, just a dream.
"Tetsuko-san, can't you see, that's just escapism though! You're not even you. Denying the Empire of Heroes and the Fortune who guides them? The ramifications that could come from such a selfish act?"
He paused. "That's anathema. It is isn't who we are or who we should be. It is a path of dishonor. Mirumoto-san is right. Yoshi-san is right."

"Mm, but if he is asleep, and the realms will sort themselves out anyway...should we wake him? Waking him may be defiling the natural order far more than not."
She leaned forward, putting her arms on her knees.
"What if one were to wake others who are sleeping? Do not they wake up disgruntled and angry? I am not saying we should not, but we must consider the ramifications of both courses of action."

Rodrigo shook his head, confused.
"Wait, wait, wait. If this is all in your...dream realm, or whatever, then how am I here? I only showed up here two weeks ago, if this was all going beforehand what does that mean?"
He paused, then went bug eyed, suddenly looking terrified.
"Do...do I only exist here?"

As Hinata heard the gaijin boy speak, a realization hit her. A realization that she could not go back. Not after today, not after what happened. If she went back, Yori would be there again. She would be a danger to the Empire again. She would never meet the man who helped save her. She would be stuck with that monster, this time forever. The realization made her stand up involuntarily. Where she had been keeping her On before, now she was clearly terrified.
"No, we cannot wake him. Yoshinobu, think of what will happen! Please!"

"I think that's exactly what she is saying, Yoshi-san. If we let the fortune sleep, then all that has happened will be what happen in Ningen-do. It will... copy itself over, I think, or at least if what Ayumu said about a helping hand then she'd... guide it to that result?" She said, trying to make sure she was on the right track of this.
"If he wakes up then... then it ends. We are gone, and what we achieved here never happens," Tsuki continued, her eyes falling upon Tetsuko as she empathized with her best friend.
