"Seems like you've picked the right job for that. The school might have a cooking club as well, if you'd be interested in looking at that."
It then occurred to Kumataro that this kid may not actually be an RHS student. Oh well, it couldn't hurt to ask.
"You, uh, you're attending RHS, yeah?"

The student nods. "Yeah, the Shibatsu paid for my scholarship when I got in. I am doing cooking club and anything else to do with the kitchen. Maybe wrestling too if they let me."

With another bite swallowed, Akane turned around, "Wrestling, hm? You never know, Gyushi-kun; I might end up being the wrestling coach. I WAS pretty good back in the day, though it has been a while."

"Yeah, wrestling's a good sport!" Kumataro agreed.
"I was more into basketball myself, but I remember wanting to be a part of the wrestling team too. I remember I had a little rivalry with one of the Daigotsu there...at least I think he was on the wrestling team. I wonder what became of that guy, hope he's doing alright." Kumataro frowned slightly.

"Oh! I didn't know you did that. Awesome. Bee cool if you were my coach." he says to Akane with a nod as he continues to prep. "Daigotsu? Oh yeah those guys." he says remembering. They were before his time. "Not sure how good at basketball I am. Tall but nowhere near your level."

Kumataro shrugs.
"Eh, it's not all about height. Sure, you gotta be tall to shoot baskets, but even if you're not huge you can still run interference. Besides, you seem plenty tall enough."

At hearing the name 'Daigotsu' there's a quiet rattle from Akane's direction, and she takes the saya off her back, laying it on the table before leaning over to whisper something to it.

Kumataro also looked at the rattling noise, tilting his head. Upon seeing a woman talking to her sword, he shrugs. Probably best not to get involved with that kind of crazy. Instead, he looks back at Kogeki.
"Well! It's all about training, yeah? Nobody's good until they learn. If you've got the time you should check out the basketball team on club day, I'd be happy to teach you."

Looking up after things had calmed down, Akane turned around in the chair and waved to Kumataro, "Hida-sensei, would you care to join me once you have your food?"
