"Huh... didn't think you swung that way as well Hinata-san. Learn new things about people everyday." Koshiro ponders his own orientation briefly, then shrugs. "So are we taking the kitty with us then? Guess it could be the fourth member of our exploration party. Every team usually has a cute animal mascot of sorts."

"I wasn't saying she liked them back," Yoshi corrects Koshiro before giving an apologetic look to Hinata. "Sorry if I embarrassed you at all, Hinata-chan. I'm... still kind of new to this whole 'joking around with friends' thing." He also considered for a moment joking that the cute animal mascot role would usually fit Nadeshiko, but even with his inexperience, he thinks better of bringing up the painful thought of not knowing where their other friend was or if she was all right.

The Crane nods. He picks up the cat gently, and then realizes this is not the best idea if they end up in a fight.
"So, anyone else want to carry…" He pauses. "What are we calling the cat?"

"Baka is a little mean for a cat's name," Kobushi comments, petting the little furball. A thought occurs to him. "I hope this doesn't turn into a giant wooden tiger that tries to maul us."

"Yeah... hopefully not," Yoshi agrees, trying not to dwell on such a worrying thought. However, Kobushi's words also inadvertantly inspire him, and he brightens in light of it. "Hey, that's an idea though; how about we call it "Tiger"?" The cat wasn't exactly orange, white, and black, but it was stripey enough that calling it that wouldn't be a complete stretch.
