Hinata stood at the edge of the woods with her friends Tamori Yoshi, Daidoji Kobushi, and Koshiro. They had all agreed to meet here after lunch to investigate the woods, and Hinata was certainly looking forward to it. The fog lent the trees a certain ominous quality that the poet in her could appreciate. She looked to her friends, trying to judge their reactions, then looked back to the woods. "Well, are we ready to head in?" |

"Well... how far into the fog are we thinking we'd go exactly?" Yoshi asks. "When this idea first came up, I thought we were just going to go around the perimeter and try to figure out the border."

Kobushi is there as well. Unlike the last time they ventured into the woods, he decided he could come here ready for danger. He has his helmet on and clothing he could move around in freely. He's armed, of course, and the peace knot has been undone. If there was anything dangerous in that fog, he would be ready for it. He had to be, as the only fighter in the group.

Koshiro shrugs. Among his usual stuff, he brought a flashlight and rope with him. "It's why we're exploring, isn't it?"

"Right." Hinata summoned a handful of fire and held it out. "Follow me. If you get lost, look for the light." With that, she headed into the woods. |

Kobushi nods. One hand is ready to draw as he follows just outside arm's reach of the Kuni.

Koshiro looks to Yoshi and shrugs. "Let's go then. Follow the fire I suppose." He then turns and follows along.

Though not terribly skilled with them, Yoshi had also brought his own swords, the larger of which usually sat unused in his dorm room. He nods to Koshiro and brings up the rear, keeping an eye out behind them for the receding sight of campus and also in case of ambush.

After a while of walking, it seemed nothing much happened. Hinata shrugged and turned around.
"Well, there doesn't seem to be anything here. ...I don't know what I was expecting, b--"
Just then, there was a rustle in the bushes. Hinata swerved around to face the noise, but saw nothing.
"...you all heard that, right?"

Koshiro looked around. "Uhmm, sorry, heard what?" He glances around to see what Hinata might be looking for.
