Hinata bowed and turned to walk away from the table, heading towards where Fuyuko was sitting, then froze mid-stride. Her eyes widened, and her breath caught in her throat.
No, she thought, no, not him.
Breathing rapidly, struggling to maintain her composure, she turned on her heel and hurried back into the break room. She shut the door, and looked around to make sure nobody was there, then sat down and began to cry.

Fuyuko looks up, noticing the imperials now that all the attention had been brought to them and the fact that the strange cute girl was sent running to the back in panic. Well, that was a bit of a bust wasn't it. Leaving enough Koku to pay for what she would have ordered she begins to stand to make her way out. No reason to be upset by Imperial business, whatever had happened was not her concern. Menu was a bit sweet toothed for her anyways.

Yoshinobu can't help but notice the look on Hinata's face as she stormed off.
"Something tells me that is not the case," the young Prince says with a sigh, a bit of a forlorn expression washing over the young man's face. "Courtesy demands I ignore her, but my heart tells me that perhaps I should say something to the young Lady. Perhaps at a later date, as I promised her. She is probably embarrassed enough. I guess every situation present us with a lesson, neh sensei?"
He takes a slow bite of his pancake, ice cream already melting.

Aiko, who was quietly watching the young woman waiting tables the entire time, notices how Hinata heads off. She glances over at the Imperials, her hands twitching, as if wanting to go over and say something. Dairu, who hadn't been paying as much attention as his wife, does notice the sudden tension in her posture and the likely source.
He sighs, "Dear, calm down. Remember where we are. It isn't out place to intervene."
Aiko gives her husband a look that says she probably strongly disagrees about it not being her place, but sighs, realizing he has a point, "...Fine. We are going to leave her a large tip, though. To try and make up for those two."
Dairu nods, accepting this as an acceptable compromise.

No this poor girl can't have attracted his attention. I better put an end to this nonsense now. She sighs and shakes her head. "Dearest cousin the gift you have given her is more then enough apology for whatever 'clumsiness' you believe you have inflicted upon her." She holds up her hand. "You have done more then enough no doubt the poor thing is tired from a stressful day. After all take a look at the company she has. Two Imperials one of whom is the heir to the throne, a Doji Magistrate, and the Dragon Thunder. In a situation where of the people you can offend the Doji Magistrate is the smallest concern... Well it would be stressful for one so young." She shrugs her shoulders. "Allow me an early lesson." She rests her elbow on the table and looks at Iweko head on. "I am to be the Bushido teacher here. I will not be so rude as to assume you do not know the virtues off hand. In my witnessing of your interactions with this girl you have shown me Benevolence, Respect, Honor, Integrity and Duty. In you interactions with her you easily showed me all of these Virtues. I would even say you showed courage in dropping your disguise to let her know of your true nature. Dearest cousin you have gone above and beyond what need be done. For this I applaud you. Truly you have shown that when your time comes to be Emperor you will be a most magnificent emperor." She takes a deep breathe and nods her head.

Yoshinobu blinks a few times, a bit taken aback. Many had tried to flatter him before, so this certainly did not seem to him like an attempt to do so on his cousin's part.
"I trust in the wisdom of your words, Otomo-sensei," he said, lowering his head to the woman respectfully for her small lesson. The Prince was too caught up in his own mind at the moment to notice Aiko's unhappiness with what had transpired. "The matter has been resolved, so let us move along. Should I find another waitress for you to order? If you'd like to share, I wouldn't mind."

Good hopefully now he'll put the lowly child out of his mind. She rubs her chin and glances around looking for a menu. "Perhaps another server would be of good use. Honestly I'm not entirely sure what I would even get here. I've never been to fond of sweets myself." She taps her finger against her chin. "Though on the other hand. I have a rather important... Lets call it date tomorrow. Do you think this place would be a wise choice or perhaps find another location?"

"Well, if you do not have a taste for sweets it might be rather awkward here. I have heard about some spots in the city that are fairly elegant; even been to a few on the occasional miai that my Honored Mother has arranged. There are plenty of places you can visit to get exquisite sushi, or even foreign dishes if you would like something a bit more exotic."
"I am not sure I would want to go on a miai here, and while that may not apply for a more casual date, I have little experience in that department I am afraid."

She chuckles and shakes her head. "Fair enough." Though I think my companion would rather enjoy the sights around here. She closes her eyes and nods her head. "As a matter of fact dear Cousin I believe I've tickled my nostalgia bone enough for one day." She rises and offers him a deep bow. "It has been an honor to be able to join you Cousin. If you will excuse me?"

"Of course, sensei. Enjoy the rest of your day."
Yoshinobu bows to Katsumi properly, then returns to his mostly melted bit of chocolate ice cream, alone in his thoughts once more.
