Meanwhile, Daidoji Kobushi found himself not far away from where the other two were.
He hadn't heard about the party. But he did find himself out and about the city on a walk. He figured it was a good time go get to know the place, once he'd settled in.
He notices the two and approaches, but keeps a respectful distance. He is fairly sure just inserting himself would be rude.

"Y-Yes, Senpai...?"
The young Crane blinked as he watched the Scorpion, torn between being excited to be given advice from an upper classman, and nervous that he had made a faux pas somewhere. Wide eyed yet eager, Isao waited for him. All the while the Daidoji made his approach and only by chance did he note the fact. Isao smiled nervously and waved, greeting the fellow Crane.

"Involve yourself in several clubs, building a network of friends in those clubs can prove to be very useful. you may just pick up a few skills as well."

He notices the wave. The smile is returned as he approaches. The Daidoji and Hida mon are both visible on his attire, but the former is larger, more prominent.
"Good evening. I hope I'm not intruding," he says.

"That's what I intended to do!"
He smiled as he already had a handful of clubs picked out to participate in. Isao nodded, rattling off, "Debate, Iaido, Kendo, Kyudo, and Students for Peace were on my list to check out," he explained. "And Tsuki-san told me to find a Poetry Club." When the Daidoji walked over the Kakita offered an infectious smile.
"Hi! Are you a student too?"

"Ah, yeah. Daidoji Kobushi, first year."
He takes a quick scan of the other two. A Kakita and a Bayushi. Very quickly, he recalls everything he can about propriety and etiquette. Which is to say, not a lot. Telling who outranked him and who didn't by sight alone was one of those little things he never got around to learning among the Crab.
"And you, Kakita-san? Bayushi-san?"

"Allow me to introduce myself, I am Bayushi Yoshikatsu, 2nd year Courtier." With a quick bow he would give a quick smile.

"Kakita Isao! First year," Isao chirped. He offered the Daidoji a small, courteous bow. "It's nice to meet you! I've been making a lot of acquaintances today. Are you walking back to the forms, Daidoji-san? You can join us if you'd like!"

He bowed. Not his usual lax bow, the one he picked up around the Hida. The stiffer, more formal one that his father taught him when he was much younger. It was a habit he had to get back into, now that he was in the capital.
"That sounds great!" he answers. "I haven't met too many people. I got to school later than I planned, so I think everyone else got settled already."

"Oh, yeah! I moved into the dorms early this morning," Isao said, nodding readily. "What about you? Are you all moved in? If you need any help, I'd be more than happy to offer what I can! I'm rooming with Suzume Suzaku. Do you know who your room mate is yet?" The bubbly Crane rattled off a series of questions, probing the Daidoji for answers as the three of them walked down the sidewalk together.
